Chapter 97 Sorry Doesn’t Fix Anything
Felix suddenly smirked, “Well, that’s the next question.”
A collective groan filled the room as everyone realized he wasn’t planning to spill anything more. With no satisfying answer in sight, the crowd reluctantly moved on. Felix shifted his gaze toward Henry. “Now, about that dare…”
Henry, ever the spirited type, jumped up from his seat, puffing t his chest. “I’m ready. Bring it on! What do I have to do?”
Felix’s mischievous grin widened, a look everyone recognized as trouble brewing. Sure enough, he didn’t disappoint. “How about this–find a lady in the room and maintain close eye contact with her for ten seconds.”
The room erupted in amused chatter, everyone instantly glancing at Sophia. Poor Sophia, who had only just returned from making up an excuse to leave, barely had time to warm her seat before becoming the center of attention again.
Normally, she was a good sport and would gladly help out Henry. But today wasn’t any normal day–Henry had just confessed his feelings to Sophia in front of everyone.
Sophia thought, “If I agreed to Henry’s dare now, wouldn’t that just confirm something is going on between us?” Cold sweat

broke out on her palms as she hesitated, torn between helping Henry and protecting herself.
Before she could decide, Henry turned to Abigail instead. He walked over to her seat and gave her a cheeky smile. “Abigail, you’ll help me out, won’t you?”
The room collectively froze. Abigail was stunned. Felix’s smirk vanished. Henry, on the other hand, looked quite pleased with himself. Everyone else, sensing the shift in dynamics, watched with bated breath. Henry had just flipped the script–and they loved it.
Abigail glanced at Sophia, who looked more relieved than
nything. Putting two and two together, Abigail decided it was o big deal to step in and help. She nodded and was just about to stand.
“Absolutely not,” Felix cut in, his tone sharp. “That’s way too easy for you. Pick something else.”
The crowd burst into laughter, fully aware of what was happening now, while Abigail remained blissfully clueless.
Felix leaned back, his grin turning predatory. “I’ve got a better idea–something more fitting for someone as ‘flashy‘ as you, Henry.”
Henry tilted his chin up, unbothered. “Bring it on. I’m not scared.”
Felix’s smirk deepened. “Write your name in the air… with your

The room exploded into cheers and applause. Some people even pulled out their phones, ready to capture the moment.
Henry’s confidence faltered for a split second. Sophia and Abigail joined in the clapping, both laughing uncontrollably. Felix, smug as ever, looked thoroughly satisfied.
Under the group’s watchful eyes, Henry reluctantly bent over and began swaying his hips, “writing” his name with exaggerated flourishes.
Everyone roared with laughter, and Henry played it up, pretending to be bashful but clearly enjoying the attention. You’ve ruined my dignity, Mr. Rowe. My reputation is in shambles!”
Meanwhile, in the wine cellar, Amy was putting the finishing touches on her master plan, giggling to herself at the thought of locking Felix and Abigail inside for the night. She wanted to create the perfect opportunity for Felix to confess.
Still feeling uneasy, Amy called Justin to double–check everything. It just so happened that Justin had just finished work, and as soon as he got her call, he rushed over without hesitation.
After arriving at the venue, he asked a staff member for directions to the wine cellar and headed straight there to find Amy. As Justin walked into the dimly lit wine cellar, a chill greeted him, making him shiver involuntarily.

He spotted Amy organizing the rows of wine bottles, seemingly preparing the space for her elaborate scheme involving Felix and Abigail. Without hesitation, he stepped forward to help
“You’re here!” Amy’s eyes lit up as she launched into her plan. her voice brimming with excitement. “Alright, here’s the deal. I’ll call Abigail and you call Felix. Find an excuse to get them down here, and the moment they step inside, we’ll shut the door and leave them to it.”
Justin glanced around the cellar, the cold air seeping into his jacket. “It’s freezing in here. Are you sure they won’t catch a cold if we leave them overnight?”
Amy wagged her finger at him with mock impatience. “Justin, you’re such a blockhead. That’s the point. It’s cold, so they’ll have to huddle together to stay warm. A little forced proximity- it’s the ultimate romance catalyst.”
Amy thought, “A man and a woman alone in the same room there’s no way Felix can resist confessing. And if he somehow manages to, well, I’d roast him for it for the rest of his life.” With that thought, Amy felt her plan was absolutely foolproof.
As they finished and made their way toward the door, the unthinkable happened. The heavy cellar door swung shut behind them with a resounding click. Amy froze, her hand reaching for the handle, only to find it wouldn’t budge. She yanked at it again. Nothing.
Her head snapped toward Justin, her expression incredulous.

Justin hesitated, then nodded sheepishly. “Yeah, I think so. Just closed it behind me when I came in.”
Amy’s frustration erupted like a volcano. She punched him on the shoulder, her voice sharp. “Are you kidding me? Who told you to shut it? What were you thinking?”
“It’s just a door,” Justin protested, rubbing his arm. “I figured we could just open it again.”
Amy rolled her eyes so hard it was a miracle they didn’t stay that way. “And why do you think I went through all the trouble of planning to lock Felix and Abigail in here?”
Justin blinked, realization dawning on his face. “Wait, you mean… the door can only open from the outside?”
“Congratulations,” Amy snapped. “You’ve finally caught up.”
Determined to fix his mistake, Justin rummaged through his pockets for his phone, only to find it dead. Amy checked her own pockets, groaning when she remembered leaving her phone upstairs at the bar.
“Relax.” Justin tried, offering a hopeful smile. “Maybe someone will come down to grab a bottle of wine and let us out.”
But the more Justin talked, the angrier Amy became. “Who the hell is coming down here for wine anyway? I specifically told everyone not to step foot in the wine cellar tonight because I

didn’t want anyone messing up my plan. They’re not supposed to open the door until tomorrow morning!”
Her plan had been flawless–or so she thought. She even brought Justin along, thinking he’d make things more reliable. Who knew he’d end up being the one to ruin everything instead?
Watching Amy’s face turn red with frustration, Justin swallowed his pride and walked to the door. He fumbled around, trying every trick he could think of to get it open. But no matter what he tried, the door didn’t budge. It was locked tight.
Justin sighed, slumping onto a nearby crate. Amy sat a few feet away, her arms crossed tightly over her chest, steam practically rising from her ears.
Justin, feeling defeated, slumped onto a nearby crate. Amy sat down on another crate a short distance away, her irritation growing with every passing second as the reality of being stuck in the wine cellar sank in. The more she thought about it, the angrier she got.
She shot Justin an exasperated look and rolled her eyes. “Of all the people to be stuck here with, it just had to be you. What
terrible luck.”
Justin bristled a little at her words but bit his tongue, knowing full well he was the one at fault. Instead, he offered a meek, apology, “I didn’t mean to. I’m sorry, okay?”
But Amy wasn’t having it. “Sorry doesn’t fix anything. My whole plan’s ruined because of you. I can’t believe it–every single time

I involve you, something always goes wrong.” Justin hung hist head slightly, silently taking the scolding without a word.
