Chapter 115 You Seduced Him
It was Xander Zane. Abigail’s last memory of him was at their college graduation ceremony.
Xander had been her college classmate. They were in the same
program.
Back in school, Abigail remembered Xander as a cheerful guy who loved playing basketball.
But seeing him today, he had changed so much!
He was wearing a tailored designer suit, and his hair was styled impeccably.
He no longer had that carefree brightness. Instead, he seemed more mature and composed.
Back in college, Xander’s pursuit of Abigail was practically an open secret.
He had even confessed to Abigail publicly during their graduation ceremony.
Of course, his efforts had ended in rejection, especially when he found out Abigail was going to marry Felix.
After that, they all graduated, and Abigail hadn’t seen Xander again.
She had only heard that he went abroad.

The judge announced the start of the trial, and Abigail picked up her notebook and pen.
The prosecution’s lawyer began their statement first.
Xander stood up confidently and began speaking under the watchful eyes of the court.
“First of all, my client believes that the defendant’s attack on my client after their encounter does not constitute self–defense. If it were self–defense, it should have occurred during the act itself. as a legitimate form of protection. However, the defendant’s actions took place after the incident.
“The defendant attacked my client with a stone after the encounter, resulting in severe physical and psychological harm to my client. This should be classified as intentional harm, not self–defense. We demand that the defendant cover all medical expenses and compensate my client for damages.
“Furthermore, I argue that my client did not force the defendant into the encounter. First, the defendant clearly had the ability to fight back, as evidenced by the serious harm inflicted afterward. Second, if the defendant had enough strength to injure my client so significantly, it means there was an opportunity to resist during the act. So why didn’t the defendant resist then or take defensive action at that time, but instead chose to attack afterward?
“All of this proves that my client did not force the defendant into the encounter, and the defendant’s actions do not qualify as self–defense. That concludes my statement.”

As soon as Xander finished speaking, the courtroom broke into chaos.
Everyone began murmuring and whispering to each other.
Even Abigail couldn’t help but furrow her brows deeply.
The girl sitting on the defendant’s side, though wearing a mask and hat, had trembling shoulders that made it clear she was crying her heart out.
Abigail clenched her fists as she jotted down key points in her notebook.
She listened to the comments from those around her.
“Is this lawyer even human? How can he say such heartless things?”
“Poor girl. As if suffering something like this isn’t bad enough, now she’s being blamed for it in court!”
“Clearly, he forced himself on her, and she defended herself. Now they’re saying she’s guilty and demanding she pay him? Unbelievable.”
Abigail frowned and focused on Sophia.
Seeing Sophia’s confident demeanor, she finally felt a bit of relief.
The judge banged the gavel. “Order in the court.”
The defense began their statement.

Images of the girl’s injuries after the assault, along with medical reports from the hospital, appeared on the screen.
Every image made the women in the courtroom clench their fists and frown in anger.
Abigail gritted her teeth even harder.
It was then that Sophia began to speak.
“What you just saw on the screen, I don’t need to explain- everyone understands what it means. The prosecution claims. that my client was not forced into an encounter. I would like to ask them. If this was consensual, then why was my client left covered in bruises? How do you explain these injuries and the medical reports from the hospital?
“Secondly, if my client willingly engaged with the plaintiff, why would it happen in such an inappropriate location, like a secluded grove near the school? Why would my client cry for help? My client and the plaintiff had no prior relationship- they had never even met before. What possible motive would my client have for consenting to this? Explain that.
“The prosecution also argued that because my client retaliated after the incident, it cannot be classified as self–defense. However, I argue that there is a clear imbalance of physical strength between men and women. During the act, my client had no chance to escape due to the plaintiff’s aggressive behavior. Once the plaintiff lowered his guard and was in a calmer state, my client seized the opportunity to fight back. What’s wrong with that?
“Does the prosecution believe that victims should just sit and

police? My client acted in self–defense. The plaintiff caused harm to my client, and my client chose to retaliate at the right moment. My client did nothing wrong. On the contrary, as a vulnerable young woman, her courage to fight back against such injustice and violence should be encouraged and commended.
“In conclusion, we will not accept any responsibility for the plaintiff’s medical expenses. Furthermore, we assert that the plaintiff committed a crime by forcing my client into the encounter. He should face legal consequences and compensate my client for emotional damages.”
As Sophia finished, the courtroom erupted into applause.
Abigail quickly jotted down key points in her notebook before. joining the applause.
After hearing Sophia’s argument, the plaintiff’s parents erupted in anger.
The father, with his sharp triangular eyes and high cheekbones, looked like someone you wouldn’t want to cross.
The mother, with her coarse features and harsh expression, looked like someone who thrived on being difficult.
As expected, the two slammed their hands on the table and stood up.
They began shouting at the young girl sitting at the defendant’s table.
“You shameless little girl! You’re the one who seduced my son, and now you’re trying to turn it all around on him!

he’ll never be able to have children! You didn’t just ruin my son -you ruined our entire family! And now you have the nerve to demand we face legal consequences and compensate you for emotional damages? You must be out of your mind!
“If anything happens to my son, we won’t let you off!”
