Jennifer ran her fingers over her backpack, grateful that she had prepared ahead of time.
And she had Timothy to thank for that.
She never expected Daniel to actually steal her meticulously crafted model.
Taking a deep breath, Jennifer reminded herself that she didn’t have high expectations of her brothers, so she wasn’t really disappointed.
After all, she had long since accumulated enough disappointment for a lifetime.
With her cane in hand, Jennifer slowly made her way into the classroom.
Vincent was already there.
She noticed Sarah placing the stolen box on Vincent’s desk.
Sarah said, “Professor Moore, this is the model I hurried to finish last night. It may not be perfect, but it should clearly show that I’m the original creator.”
Vincent gave the model a quick glance and nodded.

Daniel turned to Jennifer, announcing, “Professor Moore, my sister Jennifer has been having some family issues with me and Sarah, which has led to some conflicts. I’m really sorry for the inconvenience!”
Vincent was visibly irritated. “Jennifer, why are you lying and stealing someone else’s work?”
“Professor Moore, I’m not lying, and I didn’t steal anything,” Jennifer replied firmly, her back straightening as she leaned on her cane.
Seeing her serious expression, Vincent hesitated, caught in a moral dilemma.
Sarah jumped in, saying, “Jennifer, you’re not trying to claim that this model is yours, are you?”
To keep the truth from slipping out, she must take the initiative.
Sarah’s friend added, “Come on, Jennifer, the facts are laid out. You walked in empty–handed; how can you prove that model is yours?”
Daniel shifted uncomfortably at their words; he knew full well that all those models had been made by Jennifer.
He glared at her and said, “Apologize to Professor Moore, now! Be reasonable!”
Daniel thought that Sarah’s hand was hurt because of Jennifer, and she was the one who should be held accountable.

With a cold smile, Jennifer replied, “I haven’t even begun to prove anything yet. Why are you all so eager? Afraid of being exposed?”

“Not at all, Jennifer. That’s not what we meant,” Sarah said, her voice slightly strained.
Sarah felt her composure slipping as she watched Jennifer remain so calm.
She thought, “What if Jennifer did something clever with her model? If that’s the case, I’d better think of a way to cover it up!”
Taking a seat in the front row, Jennifer started pulling out materials from her backpack and laying everything out on the desk.
Sarah’s expression darkened as she realized Jennifer was still holding cards close to her chest. She mused, “I didn’t foresee that Jennifer had a backup plan. If that’s the case, I could be in serious trouble.”
Glancing at Daniel, she asked Jennifer, “Jennifer, what exactly do you plan to do?”
Daniel frowned. “Jennifer, do you really want to do this? Think about the consequences!”
He mused, “Why won’t she just apologize to Professor Moore?”
Jennifer, however, was clear in her mind. She looked up at

Vincent replied, “Of course. Since you haven’t presented your evidence yet.”
With Vincent’s encouragement, Jennifer shot a meaningful look at Sarah and then focused intently on assembling her model.
Sarah, watching with furrowed brows, knew too well the quality of Jennifer’s work.
She thought, “What now? What should I do?”
One of Sarah’s friends piped up to disrupt Jennifer’s
concentration, saying, “What you’re building doesn’t even match Professor Moore’s project theme; bigger isn’t necessarily better!”
Jennifer remained unfazed by the interruption.
After taking her time to piece the model together, she turned to Vincent and said, “This is what the theme calls for; my house design stems from this idea…”
As Jennifer outlined her vision with clarity, demonstrating each component of her construction, Vincent’s expression shifted to one of astonishment.
“Jennifer, this design is brilliant! It aligns precisely with my project’s theme, and it even addresses the issues I’m currently facing.”
Jennifer flashed a knowing smile.

She was fully aware of the origins of her model.

The model she made for Sarah in her past life was inspired by Vincent’s project.
But back then, Jennifer hadn’t put her heart into it; she had held back, afraid to give Sarah all the credit.
In her past life, the opportunity to work with Vincent had still been snatched away by Sarah.
Yet this time, Jennifer was determined to reclaim that chance.
Turning to Vincent, she said, “Oh, really? Well, I just had a few epiphanies and decided to upgrade my ideas in the model I submitted yesterday.”
Vincent replied, “That sounds great. Stick around after class, we need to discuss this further.”
He was thrilled; his project puzzle had finally met its match.
Sarah, sitting nearby, was struggling to maintain her composure.
Jennifer’s model was not only impressive but also seemed capable of solving the very problems Vincent’s project faced.
Vincent finally addressed Sarah, “Since you submitted that model, why don’t you give us an overview?”
