Robert knew what was going on once he noticed Samson looking away. He sneered, but he didn’t expose Samson.
A moment later, Lily got her answer, too, so she sighed quietly and looked away.
Feeling awkward, Samson stood up and changed the topic. “Um, I got our dinner. Have it while it’s hot.” He placed the food on her table and opened the lids.
It was bland, to say the least. There wasn’t even any color in the food.
“Hey, what is this? How am I supposed to eat this?” Lily was irked.
Samson glared at her. “Your stomach needs rest, so light food is all you can eat. Don’t complain and stuff it down. Once you get better, you can eat whatever you want.
After saying that, he turned around and uncovered what he bought for himself and Robert.
Lily was vexed now, so she complained, “What’s this? What are you guys eating?”
Samson looked at her innocently. “Seafood and a lot of meat. Vay?”
Lily glowered at him, but Samson ignored her and went on with setting up their dinner before inviting Robert. “Dig in, boss. Our stomachs are healthy, so we can eat whatever we
want.
With gritted teeth, Lily glared at Samson.
It was as if Robert hadn’t noticed anything amiss He took a few bites of his meal and finally said something, “I’ll be going for an appointment tomorrow night. You don’t have to come with me, so stay here.”
Lily was surprised. “I can be discharged tomorrow,” she said.
Robert looked at her. “You’d better listen to the doctor’s orders.”
Lily nodded. “I did ask the doctor, and all I have to do is get some injection, then it’ll heal up if I rest. I don’t have to be hospitalized that long.
Robert frowned as usual. “Samson, verify that with the doctor tomorrow.”
He doesn’t trust me? Lily put on a long face.
Samson was digging in happily. “Sure. I’ll ask the doctor after this.”

She looked at her congee and veggies. Then, she looked at them having seafood and meat. Dmn. What’s the use of money if you can’t have good ood?
Lily didn’t feel too happy, so she didn’t eat much. After two bites, she put her spoon down and leaned back on the bed. It was a luxurious ward, but she didn’t feel at home there.
Robert left after finishing his dinner, saying he had business to settle. As for what it was, Lily didn’t want to know.
After cleaning their stuff away, Samson asked Lily, “Did the doctor really say you can get discharged?”
Lily grunted. “Yeah. I just need some injections, and the rest depends on me. I can just heal up at home. No hospitalization needed.”
Samson nodded. “Yeah, that’s better anyway. No place like home, am I right? At least you feel better at home.”
After giving it some thought, Lily turned to Samson. “Who’s your boss going on an appointment with tomorrow night?”
Samson sat down on the sofa. “Not sure, but it’s probably with Solaris Group.” Then e quickly added, “Remember the woman you saw back at the beach? She works with Solaris. Group. She obviously likes your ex–husband, so look out.”
Lily sneered. “Why should I? Does this have anything to do with me?” However, she still considered it.
Samson didn’t notice that, nor did he care. He went back to his mobile.
