The car didn’t stop at the hotel where Lily and the others were staying. After they were a distance away from the hotel, Lily asked the driver to stop the car, which surprised Robert
and Samson.
After the car had stopped, Lily smiled at them while opening the car door. “I’ll be leaving now. You guys go ahead without me.”
Hearing her words, Robert looked back and said nothing. Only after Lily had closed the door did he say to the driver, “Let’s go.”
On the other hand, Samson glanced at Robert in the rearview mirror and saw that the latter was scrolling through his phone. Then, he looked at Lily in the side mirror. She wore a casual outfit and was slowly fading out of their sight.
“Is Lily worried someone might take it the wrong way if they saw us go back together?” asked Robert.

Then, Samson continued, “I mean, she has a suitor staying in this hotel too. Things will not end well if he sees us together. I can understand her concerns.”

Elijah quickly paid for his stuff and replied, “I went to get you some gastric medicine that night. However, when I returned to the beach, you were gone.”
Lily was still smiling as she said, “I was being rushed to the hospital. I had internal bleeding and had to stay in the hospital for a couple of days.”
Elijah was shocked by her words, “That sounds serious.”
Lily nodded. “It’s chronic. I just got discharged today.”
It was getting late, and she looked in the hotel’s direction and said, “Do you have anything else to do? Why don’t we head back together?”

her way.
Still, Lily nodded and said, “Sure. What time tomorrow?”
Elijah was delighted that she agreed. “Let’s make it earlier. It’ll be too hot if we arrive late. I’ll call you around five tomorrow morning. What do you say?”
