After Old Mr. Taylor passed away, Old Mrs, Taylor’s health rapidly declined. Therefore, she had been practicing vegetarianism, meditation, and Buddhism at the Taylor Residence during this period.
Robert first asked about Old Mrs. Taylor. Then, he went into the main topic, “Grandma, I have something I would like to discuss with you.”
Old Mrs. Taylor replied, “Go on. What is it that’s making you so serious?”
The last time he had been so formal and serious, he informed the family that he was going to divorce Lily. Even now, she could clearly recall the determination in his expression and his gaze at the time.
To be honest, she disapproved of Robert and Lily’s divorce–just like how she had not approved of Robert’s marriage with Lily. In her opinion, marriage was not a game. When Old Mr. Taylor first brought up the idea of breaking off the marriage agreement with the Shaws and marrying Lily, she was the first to oppose the idea.
However, after much consideration, Robert gave in to his grandfather’s wishes.
In the end, Old Mr. Taylor passed away.

Later on, everybody in the Taylor Family agreed to the divorce except her. Coupled with Robert’s determined attitude, she said nothing more. At the end of the day, it was her grandson’s personal affairs. and it wasn’t good for her to interfere too much,
Robert was silent on the phone for a moment before saying. “I’ve encountered some issues here, and my marriage with Lily might affect the outcome. Thus, I’m hoping the family will not spread the news of my divorce with Lily.”
Old Mrs. Taylor was taken aback. “What’s wrong? What happened?”
Unfortunately, this matter couldn’t be explained in brief.
Thus, Robert sighed heavily. “Once I return, I will explain it to you in full. Right now, could you help me suppress this information?”
She understood what he meant by suppressing the news.
On the second day after Robert’s divorce, Mrs. Taylor wanted to announce it to the world and immediately arrange for his marriage with the young lady of the Shaw Family. Hence, if he wanted to suppress the information about his divorce from Lily, the first person they had to deal with was Mrs. Taylor.
Old Mrs. Taylor sighed. “I might not know what problems you’ve run into, but I will talk to your and put some sense into her. Don’t worry about that.” Then, she added, “To be honest, there is no need for you and Lily to go this far.”

She had already said whatever she could say to persuade him. Thus, she left it at that after speaking once more. “Alright, don’t worry about the matters at home. I will help you settle them. Your mother might have little regard to the opinions of others, but she’ll listen to what I have to say.”
After that, he thanked her and ended the call.
Robert sat in the study for a long time in a daze before Samson finally returned. However, Lily did not come along.
According to Samson, she was feeling unwell. As such, she had returned to take some medicine.
Samson was still extremely disgruntled. “Isn’t Solaris Group acting far too shamelessly? I knew the incident this time around would be related to Mr. Morris. No matter how little his employees cared for authority, they wouldn’t go so far as to drug you.”
During the party that night, he had the feeling that something was amiss. Mr. Morris continuously stuck to him and tried to get him drunk. In the end, he only managed to escape by excusing himself to the
restroom.
Sitting opposite Robert, Samson said, “If their plan the other day had succeeded, I’m certain the terms of our–cooperation would be vastly different by now.”
If Robert had slept with that female employee the other day, there was no saying whether they could get rid of her in the future. Furthermore, they would have been led by the nose throughout the entire process of the cooperation this time.
Robert had not expected it either. The other party was such a large company, and it was unbelievable that they would stoop to such underhanded methods.
