Lily knew a thing or two about it even though she wasn’t in the business. Mrs. Taylor would share stories related to the business during dinner back when she was still part of the Taylor Family.

Hence, she had no trouble understanding what Robert had said.
Lily raised her brows at Robert and asked, “Are they trying to blackmail you with what happened last night? They still have no idea about our divorce. Is that why you’ve claimed what happened last night was legal?”
Robert nodded. “That’s right. They probably went and checked the surveillance footage.”
He was considered the center of attention at the banquet.
So, they would definitely check the surveillance footage to find out his whereabouts after he had disappeared halfway through the banquet.
Needless to say, they would also see Lily through the surveillance footage.
Therefore, Robert’s claim was impeccable.
The last thing they would suspect was Lily and Robert were actually divorced.

public. You can decide the reason behind our divorce when the time comes. I will also not mistreat in the meantime. You can name your conditions.”
Lily smiled and asked, “So, do you mean I have to stay with you throughout this time?”
Robert frowned out of habit and answered, “That’s the gist of it.”
He hadn’t thought about what she was supposed to do next. Besides, no one knew what other tricks Mr. Morris would pull.
Robert wouldn’t need much help from Lily if Mr. Morris didn’t cause him trouble. There would be no point in her staying by his side if that were the case.
