They immediately whistled, “The beauty of our
school is here!”
Ashley stepped her foot down in anger, “Lustful! Disgusting!”
She said those words, but there was no
indication that she was ready to leave.
At the same time, a basketball was suddenly
thrown our way.
It grazed my cheek, and landed right in Ashley’s
face.
Ashley screamed.
“Chad, your ball hit the beauty of our school! Why aren’t you apologizing?”
“Chad, the beauty of our school is in pain! You

The guys were all teasing Chad.
They were anticipating to see Chad and
Ashley’s reaction.
After all, the beauty of the school is supposed
to be with the most popular guy.
As expected, Chad started to walk toward
Ashley.
Ashley rubbed her head that had been hit, and
waited for him to apologize.

He was relieved, and took out a band–aid from
his pockets, and handed it to me.
Just then, Ashley started to groan.
When he heard Ashley, Chad looked at the
person who had been hit.
He looked at Ashley and said, “I’m sorry, my hands slipped.”
Ashley looked up, and with a face full of arrogance, said, “I’m not Jen. Don’t try to be close to me. I don’t want any of your crappy
band–aids, my face is very sensitive…”
I knew what she was going to say next.
But Chad cut her off and immediately said,
“Sorry.”

He then turned around and started to walk back
to the basketball court.
Ashley was left behind, her face red with anger.
She then looked at the band–aid in my hands.
“I never use those things anyway.”
“I’m allergic to them. My face is really
sensitive.”
“And, that band–aid has been in his pocket for
a long time, it’s covered in sweat. I wouldn’t be
using it if I was you, yuck.”
As I watched her clown around, I said okay.
My roommate didn’t pay any attention to her. It
was time for gym class to end, so everyone
went back to their dorm.
