The crowd looked shocked.
I started sobbing even harder.
“That’s my crazy assistant!.
My husband has a death certificate!”
I pulled the certificate out of my pocket and
waved it around.
“That man is lying!”
“He is heartless and cold!”
“I was always a good friend and worker.”
The crowd started cursing Kevin.
He did not know who was telling the truth or
not.
I nodded to the workers, and they hit the
button.
Nana Betty ignored her injuries.
Then, Nana Betty pushed the red button.
I stared at the heat.
The heat was getting hotter and hotter.
I knew I couldn’t let it get to me.
Nana Betty started pounding on the glass,
screaming.
“Let my son out!”
“He’s alive!
He is in there! He didn’t say what happened!
It was all her fault!”
I kept crying.
“She’s lost it.
Someone should take her to a hospital.”
Nana Betty glared at me.
“You evil witch! You killed my son. I’ll kill
you!”
I pretended to cower, while still crying.
“He died in a car crash. It’s right there on the
death certificate.”
“Take her to the hospital. She’s not doing too
well right now!”
Kevin looked defeated, and sat on the
ground.

“What am I going to do?”
The crematorium workers called an
ambulance, but Nana Betty wouldn’t leave.
Mark was cremated.
There was no getting him back.
I pretended to faint and had my bodyguards
carry me away.
