Jason Jr. struggled to his feet and shook his
head. “Dad, why would I start a fire?”
Sterling Sr. said, “You wanted to kill me!”
Jason Jr. looked terrified. “Dad, I would never
do that!”
“Mr. Sterling, Jason would never do
something like that!”
Ashley gently reached for Sterling Sr. She
pointed at me. “Lia hates Jason. She’s mad
<
that Jason picked me over her and shes
trying to make your life miserable.”
Chad glared at me. “Lia, you are evil for what
you are doing.
“Don’t listen to her!”
My dad spoke with haste.
“Jason would never want to do this to you!”
Mom stared at me and stomped her foot.
Sterling Sr. waved his hand. “Jason Jr. isn’t
my real son. His mother had an affair with the
driver!”
Jason Jr. turned white. “Dad, that’s not true!”
Sterling Sr. looked at Jason Jr. “If you didn’t
know the truth, would you have tried to kill
me?”
Sterling Sr. pulled out a DNA test.
Jason Jr. grabbed the DNA test and looked at
- it. He looked at Sterling “You knew all this
time.”
<
Sterling Sr. said, “Your mother cheated. I
wasn’t going to punish you for it.”
“You’re not my son, but I raised you for
twenty years. If you had been good, you
would have had a place in this family. But you
tried to kill me. This is your fault!”
Jason Jr. dropped the test and kneeled to
Sterling Sr. “Dad, please give me another
chance!”
Sterling Sr. shook his head. “It’s over.”
Five police officers walked in.
Officer Davis said, “We have orders to arrest
Jason Sterling Jr. and Ashley Miller, Chad
Miller, Greg Miller, and Susan Miller for
suspicion of attempting to murder Mr. Jason
Sterling Sr.”
