“She had nowhere to run, she was trapped in
here, and she hadn’t eaten anything!”
I felt bad.
It was Blake’s fault all along.
How could an assistant suffer like this?
When Blake heard this, he sat down, losing
his composure.
He nearly collapsed, catching himself on the
wall, and yelling.
“No, that’s impossible! How can Delilah die?
That can’t be!”
“Let’s go capture the pit bull, and cut it up.
She must be in there!”
The assistant screamed, and ran away.
“I quit! You’re evil, I want nothing to do with
He pushed Blake away, and ran.
Then Bethany came to the basement.
She smelled the room, and frowned at Blake.
“Blake, I heard that Delilah ran off, I came to
see what happened. Are you okay?”
Blake hugged Bethany.
“Bethany, she’s gone!”
“Let’s find her, okay?”
This was a joke.
I had died.
Was he in denial?
How was he making up a dream where I was
still alive?
Bethany told him, “Okay, we’ll punish her
when we see her.”
Blake hoarsely told her, “No, don’t punish her,
just get her back.”
“I don’t want her to die, I only wanted to hurt
her.”
I stared at them, wondering what he was
thinking.
I had died, there was no way to bring me
back.
This was too much.
Overwhelmed, Bethany comforted Blake.
Returning to the living room, he contacted the
bodyguards, and told them to catch the pit
bull.
The mansion was big. It took them a long
time to find the dog.
While he waited, Blake watched the cameras
over and over again.
He paused at the entrance to the basement.
“Help, someone please save me! Help!”
“No, don’t eat me, that hurts! Blake, let me
out!”
ounds of may ories went into bic bead
The sounds of my cries went into his head.
He slammed the laptop, with tears in his eyes.
He stomped on the screen, screaming.
“She can’t die, she’s too stubborn.”
“She’s hiding from me and having a good
laugh, I know it!”
I found him funny.
Was he afraid of being a murderer, or was he
in denial of my death?
I looked at Bethany.
She was watching him, but wasn’t doing
She opened her mouth and said, “Blake, I’m.
the only one for you.”
Then she put something into Blake’s drink.
She gave it to him, smiling.
“This is tea, to help you calm down, drink it.”
Blake drank it all.
Soon, he was asleep.
Before passing out, he said, “Don’t go into
the basement.”
Bethany covered Blake with a blanket. The
bodyguards came back with the pit bull.
<
She had them kill the dog, and put it on the
outdoor grill.
The sounds of my flesh being grilled was
painful.
I curled up, before hearing her say, “Delilah,
you couldn’t beat me, it’s good that you’re
dead!”
Halfway through, Blake ran out, trying to put
out the fire.
Bethany stopped him.
“What are you doing? Go to bed.”
Blake yelled, “I can’t burn this dog! Delilah is
in there, I need to protect her!”
く
“She died, what can you do about it?”
Bethany pushed him away, and into a chair.
“Stop it, she is dead.”
“You want to protect me, right? Well she paid
for her sins.”
Blake pushed her away.
