[Story Three: Part One: The Classmate’s
Toffee – Flirting With Boys, She’s a Slut]
I started drawing again.
I drew secretly in class.
Everyone thought I was weird and didn’t care
what I did.
Except for my classmate.
He grabbed my drawing, and I tried to snatch
it back.
“Don’t look!”
I’d be scolded if Mom found out.
He stared at the drawing for a moment, not
sneering like the other students.
Instead, he smiled and gave it back to me.
“Is this a dog? You draw really well.”
I hugged the drawing to my chest and
nodded.
“It was my dog who passed away.”
“Oh.”
He sat down, resting his chin on his hand.
“Can you draw me? I’ll give you snacks.”
I sneaked a glance at him.
He was truly a perfect model, both his body
and face were flawless.
I nodded.
I only drew one picture of him.
turn a number one student into someone
stuck in the middle? Boys, that’s all they’re
good for!”
“My grades dropped because of you!”
I lost my temper. “Because you couldn’t even
stand a stray dog! It has nothing to do with
him!”
Mom froze, tears welling up in her eyes.
“What did you say? Say it again.”
“Fine, my grades dropping has nothing to do
with anyone but you! If you had just chased
Goldie away instead of throwing him to his
death in front of me, my grades wouldn’t have
fallen.
“It’s because you are too controlling that I am
like this today! Don’t try to shift the blame!”
“You!”
Mom clutched her chest, tears falling.
I didn’t comfort her as I used to, but got out
of the car coldly and left without looking
back.
That was the first time I was strong towards
Mom.
Until I entered the mental hospital, I never
dared to disobey her again.
Because she gave me a punishment that
almost crushed me.
