Chapter Eight

I looked at Ashley, and she seemed a little bit familiar.
I was then able to put it together in my head.
“Uncle, look at her. Is that the poor student that got her credits stolen by my sister?”
My uncle hit his head.
“Yeah, now that you mention it, she wasn’t
even my daughter.
Ashley did not want to answer.
They realized what was going on.

My uncle closed his book and joked:
“These people have terrible eyesight. They don’t know what family means here. What kind of people are they? If they were any better, then they would know who I am.”
I giggled and said:
“Stop messing with people.”
Uncle then told me that he would invest in my
business.
I was happy at this moment.

My dad was jealous.
“Lindsay, why did you invest in that if you could just get the company money?”
I then got serious.
“Because I want to be able to prove myself in the world. I want to be something more than just the daughter.”
My dad said, “Okay, you can start it. But I
want to give you money since you are going
to make some for me when you’re famous.”
I patted my chest and made sure everything
was good.

Finally, it was the day for the presentation.
After I compiled everything into a nice book, I
then went to go do what I needed to.
There were two people waiting there.
When they came out, I became nervous.
“What are you doing?”
I said.
He took a peek at Sarah and then said.
“Lindsay, I made a terrible mistake. I can’t live
without you, and I want you to know that. Do
you want to come with us to the party, and
we will make it and then get married after
school.”

I rolled my eyes and said.
“Mark, we are done and not together
anymore. Now you are going to start causing
trouble or something else?”
He got very cold.
“I thought you wanted to get married to me. If
you let us be on the team and make her the
owner of the team, then I will get engaged
with you. How does that make you feel?”
He was standing there very tall and proud.
“You have a problem, and you are just mad.
He came to me and grabbed me and pushed me down before turning back and walking with Sarah.

“Sara, you will get her stuff and go do the
party. I will make sure that she does not
follow you here.”
I said that Mark was terrible and that he was
committing crimes.
I watched as Sarah walked away with the
material.
About two hours later, the door was opened,
and I could see the people walking with my
dad.
I then became so thankful and started to cry.
“Dad, I tried for so long, but I am giving up.”
My dad gave me a rub on the back.

“You did not give up. Your writing was all
perfect.”
He brought me and gave me a cup.
“My daughter is perfect.”
Later, I found out from my mother that Sara
took what I wrote and went to the party, but
that my dad had stopped the party when he
realized I was in trouble.
After all of this, it was decided that I was
perfect for the part and would become the
leader.
Under what he was able to do, my company

People started to ask for me under the name
of Lindsay.
It was a year before I could get the word that
Mark had done something terrible, that he
had killed Sara.
When I talked to one of the other team
members, I learned that he had killed Sara.
I closed the computer and watched it start,
and my life was getting better as everything
started.
