- 2.
Yeah, up until a couple of weeks ago, my
fiancé was Liam Callahan.
But then, out of the blue, the Callahans
discovered that he’d been switched at birth.
They’d been raising someone else’s kid all
these years.
Liam was too busy playing house with Maisie,
pulling a disappearing act, and nobody could
get ahold of him.
His parents were already fed up with his
behavior, so finding out he wasn’t even their
son sealed the deal. They basically decided to
let the deadbeat sink or swim on his own.
And that’s how my fiancé got a sudden
upgrade.
They brought in Jake.
Since Mrs. Callahan’s maiden name was also
Callahan, Jake didn’t need to change his last
name.
As the daughter of the Jiang Conglomerate, I
was part of the marriage arrangement with
the Callahan family anyway, so there was no
way I was going to marry Liam once he was
exposed as a fraud.
We all figured Liam would stay in hiding until
after the ceremony.
But no! On my wedding day, he not only
showed up, but had the nerve to act like he
was still the golden boy, the groom–to–be.
And he even thought he could have Maisie, in
her borrowed dress, replace me at the altar.
Seriously?
