I hadn’t been home in two months.
In the past, I couldn’t help but go home to
see, at least once a month.
This time, let alone going home, I hadn’t even
made a phone call to my family.
Finally, they couldn’t sit still and wanted me
to come home for dinner tonight.
I was holding a pen and doing accounts on a
small notebook when I heard Ms. Evans call
me, and I agreed without thinking.
Anyway, the accounts had been settled, and I
would go back even if they didn’t call me.
The Hamilton’s family driver, Carl, came to
pick me up.
But I waited twenty minutes at the school
gate and didn’t see the car.
After confirming it on the phone, they arrived
late from another campus.
“Has the eldest miss changed to another
campus?” Carl asked.
“No, it’s always been here.” I said faintly.

I belonged to the ordinary student group, and
Lucas and Brittany were both quality
students, belonging to the kind with a strong
family background. We were being educated
separately.
After I was recognized, my parents could have
sent me to the excellent campus too.
But they were afraid that Brittany’s school life
would be affected by me, so they told me not
to think about it.
“Is that so? I used to pick up the young
master and the second miss home. Suddenly
picking up the eldest miss, I can’t remember
it.” Carl laughed dryly twice.

I sneered and sat in the passenger seat:
“Yes, like Mary, you haven’t gotten used to it
in six years.”
