I felt lucky to have James as my husband. He was an upright and loyal person. I would do anything to make him happy. After James left for work, I would stay behind, enjoying the peace and quiet of the apartment. I spent the day reading and relaxing, feeling happy and content.
But as the day passed by, I slowly started feeling bored. I had nothing to do and I was starting to feel a little restless. Just as I was starting to feel really bored, I heard a knock at the door. I got up to answer it, expecting it to be James or maybe one of the neighbors. I opened the door only to find Belle standing in front of my eyes, smiling faintly.
“Hey, Claire,” she said, her voice filled with sarcasm as she added, “I hope you’re enjoying your new life as Mrs. Parker.”

a casual voice,“What do you want, Belle?”
Belle smiled. Her eyes were filled with jealousy while saying, “I just wanted to drop by and see how you’re doing,”
“To be honest, I’m a little surprised. I didn’t think James would actually marry you.”
I couldn’t hold back anymore and asked in a cold voice, “What’s your problem, Belle?”
She sneered at me as she said, “My problem is that you’re not good enough for James. You’re just a poor, insignificant girl from a poor family. You’ll never be able to give James what he needs.”
“Didn’t you see how many rich girls wanted to approach him in the charity auction? Don’t you think if he had married any of them, his life would be better than this? He must have gained financial support through them, but you on the other hand are useless to him.” She

didn’t lose my calm and replied in a confident voice,“I don’t need to give James anything,” I said. “He loves me for who I am, and that’s all that matters.”
Belle’s face turned red with anger. She walked up to me before speaking with a devilish smirk, “You’ll never be able to keep him, Claire. He’ll get tired of you soon and then he’ll come crawling back to me just like Jayden.”
Her words passed chills down my spine. She had just sprinkled salt over my wounds. But, I stayed calm and replied in a challenging voice, “I’m not afraid of you, Belle. I’m not going to let you come between me and James. You can’t have your ways this time because James is not like Jayden. He is a very upright and loyal husband.”
Belle laughed at my words. She then looked deeply into my eyes, saying, “Didn’t you think the same about Jayden before you watched him lying in my arms? Just wait,

After giving me a cold warning, she left. I took a sigh of relief as she left, but I also felt a little worried. Belle was not going to give up easily and I knew that she would do everything in her power to try and destroy my relationship with James.
I couldn’t stay calm after she left. Her words forced me to believe that I was being freeload on James. I thought maybe I should do something to help James financially. I had already started feeling bored by doing nothing. Why not do some job to support James?

advertisement from JW groups on my social media. They were holding their Annual Architecture Competition. Thought I knew it was not easy to participate in such high level competition, I still filled the online form with a few samples. To my surprise, I got their reply,
“Hello, Mrs. Claire Parker! We received your mail and we think you have the potential to take part in our Annual Competition. Please download the form, fill it offline and submit it along with the required documents before the deadline. We wish you to see in JW’s Architect Designers Team,”
