After Jennifer got up, Ryan told her, “Mrs. Mary Clark is waiting for you downstairs.”
“Where is Timothy?”
“Mr. Clark is at work. When he is away, you should handle these things.”

Jennifer changed her clothes to prevent Mary from discovering something.
She felt a little strange. Why did Mary come here suddenly?
“Could it be because of Sandy’s matter?” Jennifer thought.
She went to the living room and saw Mary holding a cup. “Aunt Mary, why do you come here? Timothy went to the company today, so I slept in. I’m sorry to have kept you waiting for a long
time.”
“Ms. Hargreaves, you can still sleep in. I got up early to prepare breakfast for Madam Clark. I have to deal with the affairs of the manor during the day. I have no time to rest at all.”

“She apologized to me by using a worn skirt. Is she looking down. on me?” Jennifer thought.

Jennifer nodded seriously. “Yes, I am an easy–going person. If I continue to be angry, Timothy will probably cause trouble for Sandy. So I think this is good. Don’t you think so, Aunt Mary?”
Mary was a little unhappy. “Ms. Hargreaves, you are arguing with me all the time. Is this how you treat your elders?”
“Aunt Mary, I am still young, and I’m not skilled at dealing with people. If I have offended you, I hope you will tolerate me.”
Jennifer showed an innocent smile on her face.
