Chapter 5
I returned to my seat after eating enough. Adrian frowned when he looked at my empty hands, “Rachel, where’s the food I asked you to bring?”
“What?” I asked.
Adrian said, “Didn’t I say what I was going to eat? Didn’t you buy it?”
“Why would I buy it? You didn’t pay for it, I retorted.
“You…” Adrian didn’t know what to say for a moment.
At that moment, Mary came over and looked at me before turning towards Adrian and saying, “Adrian, Rachel must have been angry, so she didn’t bring us any food. You shouldn’t blame her. After all, she’s loved you for so many years. She definitely can’t accept it when you’re suddenly in a relationship with me.
“Rachel, stop throwing a tantrum. I’ll talk to Adrian and ask him to treat you well. The food in the cafeteria is probably out now. Why don’t you buy us some snacks? We’ll eat something briefly, or we’ll be hungry in the afternoon.”
“You guys go buy it yourselves if you’re hungry. Why do you want me to go buy it?” I was so loud that everyone around us looked at us sideways.
A male student said, “Oh, my God! Rachel’s personality has changed. Didn’t she used to be the happiest to do this kind of thing?”
Another male student said, “Pleasing people doesn’t work. Rachel used to be so nice to Adrian, but Adrian and Mary got together. Rachel must have figured it out:
Adrian’s face grew grim as he listened to the others‘ conversation and said, “Rachel, just wait and see.”
He then kicked his stool and turned to walk out of the classroom.

11:33 AM
The bell rang before Adrian came back. He glanced at me and then turned his head to stop looking at me.
I didn’t bother with him and got on with the lesson.
At the end of the school day, Adrian and Mary followed me, apparently wanting to ride back in my car. Of course, I wouldn’t let them get away with it.
As I walked, I suddenly ran wildly, then rushed into the car and locked the door, letting Eric drive.
Adrian and Mary didn’t react yet and looked at each other in confusion.
When I got home, I got Diane Davis, the nanny, to clean out Adrian’s room.
Since he hated me so much, he shouldn’t live in my house.
I had even fired his father. What other reason did he have to live in my house?
I was already eating dinner when Adrian came back.
He should have run back. He gasped and sat down next to me, then asked Diane to get him cutlery.
“Who allowed you to sit here?” I looked at him. “This is the master’s seat. Who the hell are you to sit here?”
Adrian rolled his eyes at me. “Rachel, I’m not done with you for leaving without us today. What do you want now?”
I looked at him and said, “First of all, this is my house, and I’m the owner. I call the shots in this house.
“Second, you are the son of our family’s former driver. I have fired your father. Why are you still staying here?
“Third, your things are packed. Get the hell out of my house right now.”
I pointed my finger at the door and glared at him.
I had to show Adrian that I, Rachel, was done indulging in love and would never please him ever again.
Adrian got angry and slammed the table, saying angrily, “Rachel, stop it before I get upset. Otherwise, I really will ignore you.”
I smiled, “You’d better ignore me. I can’t wait for you to ignore me.”
“You… You’re awesome.” He was so angry that he pointed his index finger at my nose. “Don’t ever beg me to forgive you.”
Adrian snorted coldly and turned away with his bag.
Diane was a little worried. “Ms. Johnson, are you really okay with this? In case Mr. Sinclair gets really angry and ignores you, you’ll have to go and apologize afterward.”
I said, “Diane, this is the Johnson family, no Mr. Sinclair. And please remember to talk to the butler, and don’t let Adrian in from now on.”
