Chapter 101 Not Pregnant
Jennifer saw Timothy lifting weights. She tried to lift one too.
It was so heavy. She couldn’t lift it at all.
But Timothy lifted it so easily.
“You’ll hurt yourself if you lift like that,” he said.
Jennifer jumped, startled. She turned and saw Timothy had stopped.
“I was just looking. I didn’t know it was so heavy,” she said, embarrassed.
“You can use any equipment if you want to exercise.”
“Okay, I’ll look around.”
Jennifer tried different machines but found them all too hard. Finally, she decided the treadmill was best.
“I’ll just run for a bit. That should be good,” she said.
“Okay,” Timothy replied and went back to his workout.

Jennifer was just walking around, but it would be strange if she didn’t work out.

Then she started running.
She wasn’t used to exercising and soon felt tired.

But she didn’t want to show weakness in front of Timothy, so she kept going.
After half an hour, she felt sick and had to stop. Her whole body felt numb.
Timothy stopped too. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine. I just haven’t exercised in a long time,” Jennifer said.
She walked off the treadmill, her legs shaking. “I’m going to
rest.”
“I’m done too,” Timothy said.
He handed her a bottle of water. “Drink this. You’ll feel better.”
Jennifer took the water but couldn’t even open the cap. Her hands were shaking.
Timothy smiled and opened the water for her. “Drink this one.”
“Thanks,” she said and took a sip.
But she felt sick and almost threw up.
Just then, Sharon came in. “Are you okay, Mrs. Clark?”

“I’m fine. Just a bit tired,” Jennifer said, her face pale.

“You’re staggering. Let me help you to the sofa,” Sharon offered.
Jennifer accepted it and went over to the sofa.
She sat down and felt better.
She shouldn’t have pushed herself so hard.
Sharon turned to Timothy. “Mr. Clark, you shouldn’t make Mrs. Clark so tired. She’s too young for that.”
Timothy looked surprised. “Sharon, you misunderstood.”
“Mr. Clark, I know it’s not my place, but I’m sent here to take care of her,” Sharon said.
Jennifer blushed. “Sharon, it’s not what you think.”
“Then what is it? You can barely walk,” Sharon said.
“I ran too hard on the treadmill. That’s why my legs hurt,” Jennifer explained.
She didn’t expect Sharon to imagine things.
The atmosphere turned awkward.
Sharon cleared her throat. “I saw you throwing up and thought you were pregnant. You shouldn’t get pregnant now. Your body isn’t ready.”

Jennifer felt touched. “Thank you, Sharon. I’m okay.”
She knew that Angelina wanted them to have a child.
But Angelina put her health first.
Timothy said, “Let’s have breakfast.”
“Yeah, right,” Jennifer echoed.

They went to the dining room. She was too embarrassed to look at Timothy. Sharon’s words were so direct.
Timothy looked at her. “You need to exercise more. Your body is not strong.”
“I don’t think I’m good at exercising,” Jennifer said.
“Grandma wants to take care of your body. But if you don’t exercise and only take medicine, it won’t work well. I’ll have my assistant make an exercise plan for you. That way, Grandma won’t worry about your health,” he insisted.
Jennifer agreed, even though she didn’t want to exercise.
She shouldn’t have watched Timothy work out.
Now she had to exercise too.
After breakfast, Jennifer went to school. Her legs still hurt.

She gave her design drawings to Vivian. Vivian was very happy. “Jennifer, your designs are great. Come with me to the studio. We have a lot of work to do.”
“Okay, Ms. Hoover,” Jennifer said, feeling good.
Sarah saw this and felt jealous.
She had been trying so hard, but now she could only do small tasks in the studio.
Sarah took out her phone and made a call. “Help me with something. Steal all the designs from the studio.”
