Chapter 112 How You Explain This
Vincent’s words hit like a bomb, causing an uproar in the
classroom.
How could a group fail?
Jennifer heard the professor’s announcement and double–checked her problem–solving steps and answers.
It shouldn’t be wrong; there were no mistakes!
A classmate whispered beside her, “Jennifer, what’s going on? Did we make a mistake?”
“No, I just checked again. There’s absolutely no error,” Jennifer replied.
“Then… could Sarah have made a mistake?”
Jennifer looked at the answer Sarah had written on the board. “No, her answer isn’t wrong either.”
“But why did Professor Moore say a group scored zero?”
“Maybe someone’s answers were, let’s say, questionable, and the professor noticed,” someone speculated.
Jennifer turned to look at Sarah, a hint of amusement in her
eyes.
Chapter 112 How You Explain This
Sarah had quite the skill, finding someone to solve the set so quickly!
Sarah sensed Jennifer’s gaze and felt a pang of unease.
Was there an issue on her side?
Impossible. How did the professor know?

Unable to resist, Sarah asked, “Professor Moore, could you tell us which group failed?”
“Your group is the one that failed!”
Sarah’s expression changed instantly. “That’s impossible! My answers are correct. How can you say we failed?”
“Your answers are correct, yes. But did you solve them yourself?” Vincent questioned.
Vincent’s words made Sarah feel even guiltier, but she stood and responded confidently, “These are my answers.”
“Alright then, I have a similar question here. Come up and solve. it!”
Sarah froze. She could not solve it, but how did Vincent know she’d cheated?
Sadie quickly interjected, “But how do we know Jennifer’s answers were hers either?”

Vincent spoke calmly, “Fine, both of you come up.”
Jennifer stood up. “Sure, I don’t mind!”
Sarah felt like she was walking into a trap!

She had no clue how to solve it. If she went up, she’d be exposed
for sure.
But Jennifer was already at the podium, looking at Sarah. “What’s wrong? Nervous? Afraid to come up?”
“Who said that?” Sarah shot back, forcing herself forward.
Sarah forced herself to walk up, a nervous sweat forming on her brow. What was she going to do?
If she couldn’t solve it and they failed, her entire group would blame her for losing their credits.
All the goodwill she’d worked so hard to build would be destroyed by Jennifer!
Jennifer watched Sarah, who was drenched in sweat, walk over with a mocking glint in her eyes.
She was eager to see how Sarah would handle this mess!
Jennifer smirked as Sarah approached and handed her the chalk.

The moment Sarah saw the chalk, she grabbed Jennifer’s hand.
In the next moment, Sarah pretended to fall off the podium.
Quick as a flash, Jennifer pulled Sarah back. “Careful there! If you fall and pass out, what about your group’s score? Everyone’s counting on you!”
Jennifer knew Sarah would try something dramatic.
She thought Sarah might have some clever trick, but it turned out to be just this cheap move!
Sarah was furious. She hadn’t expected Jennifer to save her!
She had planned to use an injury as an excuse to dodge this.
But Jennifer had ruined it.
Now Sarah was stuck, caught between a rock and a hard place. What was she going to do?
Jennifer turned and quickly wrote the answer on the board. When she finished, she looked at Sarah. “Why haven’t you started? Is there something wrong with the chalk?”
Sarah’s face turned pale, and she stammered, “I–I’m just feeling
a bit off today. I haven’t been in great shape.”
“Not feeling well enough to even think through a problem?” Jennifer pressed.

Sarah felt cornered, unable to come up with an explanation.

Sadie jumped in, “Jennifer, stop pushing her! She’s not feeling well.”
Jennifer laughed. “No worries, we can wait until Sarah’s feeling better. She can’t stay sick forever, can she? She won’t fall ill every time it’s her turn to answer, right?”
There was no way Sarah would dodge this using the sick excuse!
Sarah’s face changed colors like a palette. Did she really want to ruin her?
Sarah looked pleadingly at Vincent. “Professor Moore, I am not well today.”
Surely Vincent wouldn’t push her when she was sick, right?
This tactic of playing weak always worked on teachers before!
“Very well. Your group’s score is zero,” Vincent said decisively.
Vincent’s words were firm, leaving Sarah stunned. She burst into tears.
Seeing Sarah’s reaction, Jennifer spoke up, “Sarah, don’t cry to the professor. You should be apologizing to your teammates! You cost them their credits with that zero.”
Jennifer’s words were like a knife, cutting deep into Sarah.
Chapter 112 How You Explain This
At this point, Sarah couldn’t even look at her teammates.
What now?
