Jennifer’s words dripped with venom.
Kelly was struck speechless, terrified of actually being sued by the Clark family. She’d only made those comments because she couldn’t stand Jennifer’s smug attitude, but now she was starting to panic.
Sarah, seeing the situation spiral, tried to intervene. “Come on Jennifer, we’re all from the same school. Don’t take it too far.”

Jennifer didn’t expect the Hargreaves family to understand that point, though. After all, they had a habit of playing dumb when it suited them.
Jennifer returned to her studio to continue working.
However, the notification of her credit card transaction had already popped up on Timothy’s phone.
Glancing at the purchase details, he was surprised to see Jennifer had used his credit card.
He noticed the store name – if he remembered correctly, it was a men’s clothing store.
Timothy stared at the notification for a long time.
