Jennifer wasn’t surprised by Daniel’s words at all.
Growing up, whenever there was a conflict between her and Sarah, all it took was for Sarah to shed a few lears, and it would always end up being Jennifer’s fault.

Daniel hadn’t expected Jennifer to be so fierce.
He hesitated for a moment and turned to Sarah. “Is what she said true?”
She replied, “Daniel, we didn’t slander her. We were just concerned about her, reminding her to be careful about the entertainment news. Who knew she’d be so sensitive?”
Sadie chimed in, “Exactly. Sarah was just being kind, but Jennifer overreacted and even hit people. We’ll be hiring a

The dean turned to Jennifer. “Your actions have indeed caused u negative impact online, so it’s not unreasonable for people to talk about it.”

Jennifer snapped, “Say that again?”
“Am I wrong?” Sadie shot back.
Sarah stepped in, pretending to be magnanimous. “Jennifer, I understand how you feel. Since we’re family, I’m willing to let this go, but you need to apologize to Sadie.”
Sadie tilted her chin arrogantly. “I was planning to pursue this in court, but since Sarah is willing to forgive you, I’ll let it slide if you apologize.”
“We’ll see about that,” Jennifer said.
She grabbed a cup from the table and splashed its contents onto Sadic.

Just then, a deep, commanding voice cut through the tension. “Matters of the Clark family are none of your concern.”
Timothy entered the office in his wheelchair, flanked by several people.
Dressed in a dark suit, he looked sharp.
His arrival unsettled Sarah and Sadie. The Clark family wasn’t a force they dared to provoke.
Jennifer didn’t expect him to be there.
