Chapter 195 Zero Trust
When Jennifer heard what Asher said, she immediately showed a mocking expression.
She had just gone to great lengths to shake off the paparazzi.
Then, Asher told her to apologize to the Clark family, as if she had really done those shameful things.
Jennifer said coldly, “I will explain it clearly to Madam Clark.”
He said, “This is something you must do. I will go with you to show the sincerity of our Hargreaves family.”
Jennifer said somewhat angrily, “Do you really see me as someone who would do such things?”
Asher said, “Jennifer, you are my sister, and I will definitely support you when you encounter such matters, but the Hargreaves family and the Clark family have a very important partnership that concerns the survival of the Hargreaves Group. This is not a time for you to throw a tantrum.”
She said, “I’m not throwing a tantrum. Nothing happened between Jason and me. I stayed in the studio all night; I didn’t spend the night with him at all. That paparazzo is writing lies.”
Jennifer felt absurd, not understanding why her brother chose to believe the paparazzi reports instead of her.

“But the public only believes what they see.”

Asher softened his tone. “I know it’s unfair to ask you to get engaged to Timothy, and you have to be careful about your relationship with other men outside so that it doesn’t get discovered. Now that things have escalated, you need to think about how to face and resolve this situation.”
He also knew that Timothy was disabled and possibly lacked sexual function, which was why Jennifer chose that reckless singer.
Jennifer felt extremely angry after hearing these words.
She spoke coldly, “I already said that Jason and I don’t have any special relationship! What do you mean by saying I’m dating other men?”
“Why did you cause such a big fuss while Sarah has always been so well–behaved?” Asher said.
Jennifer let out a cold laugh, not wanting to argue further, and hung up the phone.
At this moment, Jennifer was outside the office building of the media company that had reported on her scandal.
She sat down at a cafe downstairs, ordered a coffee, and then opened her laptop.
She directly hacked into the company’s internal system and

found the chat conversations about the news article on her.

She sifted through the information and found the paparazzi who had taken photos of her, Hector Davis, as well as his discussions with the editor–in–chief about how to write the article.
Indeed, they only managed to take photos of Jason smoking in the car; he did not enter the studio.
They staked out outside the studio all night last night but didn’t manage to capture any photos of her coming out.
All of this was reflected in their chat records.
Great.
Jennifer copied all of these chat records and also found additional negative news stories along with photos and materials.
Many of the negative news stories were bought off by the individuals involved, but the company still had backups.
If it got out, the media company would definitely be ruined. After doing all of this, Jennifer finally turned off her computer.
This time, she was smarter; in addition to saving the files on a USB drive, she also backed them up on a cloud storage service.
While taking a sip of coffee and preparing to pay the bill, Jennifer suddenly saw Jason’s agent, Micheal, walk out of the

Micheal actually came here.
She thought, “Is he here to negotiate with this media outlet about the matter?”

Jennifer wasn’t sure, but she noticed that the paparazzi she had just shaken off were catching up to her again.
These people were indeed capable; they found her so quickly.
Jennifer walked straight towards the paparazzi’s car and tapped on the window.
After a moment, the car window rolled down, and a paparazzo showed his face, saying, “Beautiful lady, is there something I can help you with?”
She said, “Stop pretending. You’ve been following me from yesterday until today. Aren’t you tired?”
“What are you talking about? We were just passing by.”
He didn’t expect Jennifer to confront him directly.
Jennifer opened the car door and got in, looking at the two paparazzi in front of her, and said, “Take me to your office. I want to see your editor–in–chief.”
They looked at each other, surprised by her boldness.

One of them said. “Ms. Hargreaves, this is our job. Don’t make it
hard for us.
“I don’t want to make it difficult for you; I just want to have a word with your editor–in–chief. With your help, I should be able to meet him easily,” she said.
If she went straight to the reception, the editor–in–chief of that media company would definitely not see her.
But she had to resolve this matter today.
Jennifer was very insistent, and the two paparazzi had no choice but to take her to the company’s underground garage.
Jennifer followed them and took the elevator directly from the garage to the top floor.
When she appeared, the employees in this company reacted as if they had seen a ghost, having just published rumors about Jennifer; of course, they recognized her face.
The two paparazzi also walked ahead awkwardly.
They had no choice; after all, Jennifer had already followed
them to their company.
Jennifer opened the door to the editor–in–chief’s office and saw a middle–aged man in a suit.
She walked over, pulled a chair, sat down directly, and said, “You’re their editor–in–chief, right?”
