Asher brought Sarah to the Clark Manor and informed Oliver that he wanted to see Angelina.
As they entered the century–old manor, Sarah felt envious of its grandeur.
Though she had heard about the Clark Manor, she had never visited.
Jennifer had always come alone, leaving the rest of the Hargreaves family uninvited.
Now, it was finally her turn to come to this place.
Upon entering the hall, Oliver told Asher, “Madam Clark is in the study. You can go in alone.”
Sarah felt disappointed and interjected, “Excuse me, but I also want to visit Madam Clark. I have things to discuss with her.”
Oliver’s cold response stung. “Madam Clark doesn’t see just anyone. She doesn’t want to see you.”
Sarah’s expression darkened. “Is it because Jennifer has said bad things about me?”
