Asher watched as Timothy left before speaking up. “What exactly does Timothy mean?”
Asher thought, “Why was Timothy so insistent on seeing Jennifer?”
He had honestly thought Timothy came to discuss the engagement with Sarah.
Sarah’s expression was a little awkward too. After all, she had not expected Timothy to act so dismissively, leaving her wondering how to explain this to Asher.

She had told Asher on the phone that the Clark family was willing to let her replace Jennifer, and Timothy had even visited the Hargreaves Villa in person.
But now, Timothy had asked to see Jennifer and left without even eating.
Sarah quickly explained. “Asher, I think Mr. Clark wanted to hear from Jennifer herself that she agrees to this arrangement, since she was once his fiancée.”
Asher frowned after hearing this. “Then just have Jennifer to it.”

But then, Daniel disagreed. “Asher, I do not think Timothy ever intended for Sarah to replace Jennifer.”
Asher raised an eyebrow. “Why do you think that?”
“Asher, it is obvious. Timothy was so arrogant when he came to Hargreaves Villa, and when he heard Jennifer would not meet him, he left without even eating.”
Daniel could see that Timothy had come specifically to see Jennifer, using the replacement excuse as a cover.
Asher also felt something was off, but could not pinpoint it..
Sarah felt anxious. “Daniel, but Mr. Clark did not say that on the phone. If he really wanted to see Jennifer, he could have come up with some other excuse. Why agree to meet me?”
Daniel continued. “Asher, you saw how Timothy treated Jennifer. He is different with her. Not every woman gets this kind of treatment.”
When Daniel said this, he shot a glance at Sarah, making it clear that he was talking to her.
He could guess why Sarah was so eager to replace Jennifer and marry into the Clark family–it was because she had seen how Timothy treated Jennifer before.

Daniel watched Asher and Sarah leave, still feeling that their plan was not right.
In the basement, Jennifer heard footsteps, from more than one person, including the sound of high heels.

It was still light outside. Had her date with Timothy ended so

Asher walked in, seeing Jennifer lying on a single bed, pale and exhausted. His heart softened.
He asked stiffly. “Have you thought it through?”
Sarah added. “Jennifer, Mr. Clark just came to the Hargreaves Villa for dinner, but he needs you to personally tell him that you agree to let me replace you in the marriage. You should be able to do it, right?”
Jennifer lifted her head and looked at them, a mocking look on her face. “You have already decided, why do you need my agreement?”
She thought, “I did not have the luxury of such an ego.”
Jennifer rejected it outright.
Sarah paused for a moment. “Jennifer, this is good for the Hargreaves family too. You do not need to sacrifice anything.”
Asher’s voice grew angry. “Jennifer, I forced you to break the engagement before, and you refused. Now, we do not need you. to continue the engagement with Timothy, and you cannot even do this thing? Our Hargreaves family has wasted all these years on you.”
Jennifer felt a chill in her heart.
