Chapter 234 Two Women Fighting Over One Man

Jennifer knew exactly what Sarah was like–she wasn’t capable of taking care of anyone.
Timothy’s leg needed proper care, or the burn could lead to complications and possibly a fever.
However, Jennifer’s assertiveness made Sarah uncomfortable.
Sarah glanced at Asher and said, “Asher, no one’s born experienced. I can learn how to take care of Mr. Clark with Jennifer.”
This was her chance to shine; she couldn’t let Jennifer steal the spotlight.
Asher hesitated. “It’s not entirely out of the question.”
If Jennifer didn’t appreciate Timothy, there were plenty of others who would. Asher hoped she’d realize this and work on fixing her relationship with him.
Daniel spoke up, “Asher, I don’t think it’s appropriate. This is only Timothy’s second visit to the Hargreaves Villa, and he’s already hurt. Jennifer should take care of him. Sarah, don’t make things more complicated.”

‘Daniel, how am I making things complicated? I need to learn how to care for Mr. Clark too!” Sarah retorted.
Jennifer glanced over at her. “If you want to learn how to care for men, volunteer somewhere. Don’t use him as practice.”
Sarah turned red with anger and was about to argue back when Asher interrupted. “Sarah, they’re not wrong. You need more experience, so let it go this time.”
Asher looked at Jennifer. “I know Mr. Clark doesn’t like too many people around, so we’ll leave now. Take good care of him tonight and let us know if you need anything.”
Jennifer nodded. “Okay.”
Asher led Sarah out of the room, but she was still reluctant. “Asher, this was such a good opportunity to bond with him. Why didn’t you let me stay?”
“Sarah, you don’t know anything. You’d only leave a bad impression on Mr. Clark. Jennifer is right–you should learn some caregiving skills, especially for leg injuries. Got it?” Asher replied.
Asher thought that if Jennifer didn’t cherish Timothy, then Sarah might have to take her place.
Sarah reluctantly agreed, but she had no intention of actually caring for a patient. She was only interested in marrying Timothy for the Clark family’s wealth and status.
Chapter 234 Two Women Fighting Over On… Otherwise, who would want to marry a disabled man?
Inside the room, only Jennifer, Timothy, and his secretary remained.

Jennifer turned to Eric. “Go back to King Villa and bring a change of clothes for him. Once things settle down, we can send him home.”
She knew Timothy wasn’t comfortable sleeping anywhere but home, especially with his cleanliness issues.
Timothy spoke coldly, “You’re that eager to get rid of me?”
Was she really this dismissive of him?
Jennifer frowned. “I’m doing this for your own good.”
Timothy let out a cold scoff, closed his eyes, and said nothing.
Jennifer turned to Eric, who coughed lightly and said, “I’ll head to King Villa now.”
Jennifer didn’t respond. She simply sat on the small sofa, absentmindedly scrolling on her phone.
She didn’t know how much time had passed when she suddenly glanced at the clock. Why wasn’t Eric back yet?
Jennifer moved to check Timothy’s leg, but he grabbed her hand. “What are you doing?”
Chapter 234 Two Women Fighting Over On… “I’m checking if your leg is okay,” she said.
“I don’t need you to check,” he snapped.
Jennifer met his gaze and pulled back the blanket. “There’s nothing I haven’t seen before. Why so shy?”
She looked down carefully and examined his leg, noting that while the skin was red, there were no blisters.
That meant it probably wasn’t anything serious.

As Jennifer applied ointment to his leg, she said, “Once Eric gets back, you can leave.”
“Come here,” Timothy said.
Jennifer looked up and met his gaze. Eventually, she leaned in closer. “Are you feeling uncomfortable somewhere?”
He grabbed the back of her head and pressed his lips against hers.
His movements were rough, almost as if he wanted to consume her.
Jennifer tried to push him away, but he was too strong, and she couldn’t break free.
Just as she was about to speak, he pried her lips open and invaded every inch of her mouth.

Chapter 234 Two Women Fighting Over On… Finally, Jennifer gave up struggling, breathless. His grip eased significantly.
Taking advantage of the moment, Jennifer bit him. He let out a muffled grunt, then pinned her to the bed, deepening the kiss.
She tasted blood and the indescribable tension between them.
His hand slipped beneath her nightgown, moving from her lower back to her chest.
Jennifer snapped back to her senses, turning her head away to avoid his lips.
But Timothy leaned in and kissed her ear, then trailed heavy kisses down her neck. His heated breath seared her skin.
“What are you trying to do?” Jennifer asked.
She spoke and realized her voice was terribly hoarse.
He lowered his head to her chest, his breathing labored. “What else? You.”
