Chapter 236 Loses Her Composure
Jennifer heard Sarah’s voice outside, but Timothy seemed to be doing this on purpose.
Wasn’t he worried Sarah might catch them?
“Focus,” Timothy murmured.
He bit her gently and pressed against her, making Jennifer let out a sound she couldn’t suppress.
Panicking, she covered her mouth with her hand and stared at Timothy in disbelief.
This man was deliberately making noise.
Sarah had definitely heard it. What if she barged in?
Outside, Sarah did hear them. She was dying to rush in and stop it–maybe even slap Jennifer across the face.
But she couldn’t get in because Eric and a couple of bodyguards were stationed outside the door.
As a competent assistant, Eric naturally understood Timothy’s intentions. For example, when Timothy hadn’t explicitly said he was going back last night, it meant he wasn’t.
Eric had stayed outside the Hargreaves Villa until almost dawn,

Fuming, Sarah pointed at Eric and shouted, “Didn’t you hear what’s happening inside?”

Eric responded calmly, “If Mr. Clark doesn’t give the word, no one is allowed to enter.”
He figured that Timothy and Jennifer must have reconciled, which was undoubtedly a good thing.
Furious, Sarah stomped downstairs and said to Asher, “Asher, Jennifer has no shame. She’s seducing Timothy!”
“What happened?” he asked.
“I was bringing up breakfast earlier and heard… indecent noises. coming from the room. No wonder Jennifer didn’t let me stay by Timothy’s side last night–she’d already planned to seduce him!”
Sarah grew angrier as she spoke, “Asher, I’m the one engaged to Timothy now, not Jennifer. How could she do this? Has she no shame?”
Was Jennifer doing this because she was jealous of her?
Asher glanced upstairs in surprise. “You’re saying Jennifer and Timothy…?”
“Exactly! The noises were so loud; there was no way I had misheard. Asher, what are you going to do about this?”

Asher seemed thoughtful. “But isn’t it rumored that Timothy isn’t… capable?”
If that’s the case, the rumors must be false.

Daniel chimed in, “Asher, I think this is actually a good thing.”
Sarah glared at Daniel. “Daniel, what are you saying? Jennifer’s engagement to Timothy was already called off, and I’m the one taking her place. How dare she seduce my fiancé? She’s disgusting!”
“Watch your mouth, Sarah,” Daniel said sharply.
Daniel’s expression darkened. “First of all, Timothy and Jennifer haven’t officially called off their engagement. He came last night to see Jennifer, not you. Stop flattering yourself.”
Sarah refused to back down and turned to Asher. “Asher, you know the whole story. Timothy came to the Hargreaves Villa to discuss getting engaged to me. He just wanted Jennifer’s approval first. And she already agreed earlier!”
Timothy was her fiancé now!
After thinking it over, Asher said, “Sarah, letting you take Jennifer’s place wasn’t ideal, but it was the only option at the time. If Timothy and Jennifer have reconciled, you won’t need to step in and face hardship at the Clark family.”

“Asher, I don’t feel like it’s a hardship!” Sarah blurted out.
She quickly added. “But Timothy agreed last night, and what Jennifer is doing now is stealing my fiancé!”
“Sarah, last night was just a spur–of–the–moment decision. They were clearly arguing. Now that they’ve made up, the whole breaking off the engagement thing doesn’t count. Pretend last night never happened,” Asher said firmly.
Asher understood that Jennifer and Timothy had likely developed feelings for each other, which was good for the Hargreaves family.
Furious, Sarah stood up. “No, I’m going to stop this!”
“Stay where you are,” Asher ordered.
He grabbed her arm firmly. “You’re not going to disturb them. If Jennifer can get pregnant with Timothy’s child soon, the Hargreaves family will have nothing to worry about.”
“Jennifer, pregnant?”
Sarah’s eyes burned with jealousy. “Asher, Timothy isn’t even capable of having children. If Jennifer gets pregnant, it has to be some illegitimate kid from outside-”
Before she could finish, Daniel slapped her across the face.
Daniel’s voice was full of warning. “Didn’t I tell you to watch your mouth? Drop your petty schemes. The Clark family has

Sarah looked at Asher with teary eyes. “Asher, I’m just thinking about the Hargreaves family. Jennifer is so unpredictable–who knows if she’ll change her mind again?”
Asher also considered Jennifer’s stubbornness. She wasn’t accommodating anyone right now, so having a backup plan was
necessary.
Asher immediately reassured Sarah. “I know you’re doing this for the family. Don’t worry; I won’t treat you unfairly.”
Reluctantly, Sarah sank into the sofa, still seething. She had thought she could steal Jennifer’s fiancé.
Who could have guessed that Jennifer would sleep with Timothy last night?
That infuriating woman!
