some more.”
“Thank you, Grandma,” Jennifer said, touched. Angelina had really been kind to
her.
But Mary was not in a great mood.
Once the meal was over, everyone returned to the living room.

Millie, however, seemed in better spirits. She looked at Jennifer and said, “Take care of yourself and try to get pregnant soon. When the time comes, we’ll make sure you’re well looked after.”
Jennifer lowered her head without replying. Millie frowned. “I’m talking to you.”
Before Jennifer could respond, Angelina interrupted, saying, “Enough. They’re still young. If their relationship is good, having kids will come in time.”
“Grandma, Mom, it’s getting late. I need to head to rehab now,” Timothy spoke up.

Jennifer stood and pushed him out of the room. Her back felt stiff, but once
they entered the rehab room, she finally relaxed.

“You don’t have to take my mom’s words to heart,” Timothy said, noticing her discomfort.
“I know,” Jennifer replied quietly. “Even if I agreed, it wouldn’t really matter.”
She understood that there was no future
for them.
She looked at Timothy. “Let’s start the
exercises.”
The next morning, when Jennifer woke up, Timothy was already gone. He was

As she washed up, she noticed the bruises on her waist, reminders of the night before. Yet, after the incident in the closet, things between them seemed to have returned to normal.
She got dressed and went downstairs, finding everyone in the living room.

“Sorry, I was really tired last night,” Jennifer quickly apologized, walking over to help Angelina.

Sandy was irritated, but Mary, instead of reacting outwardly, kept her eyes on Jennifer’s waist, lost in thought.
Mary had originally thought Timothy couldn’t perform because of his injury, but now it seemed she’d misjudged.
It was only a matter of time before Jennifer got pregnant.

After the meal, Jennifer and Timothy left the manor. She went straight to her studio for final preparations, as the competition was in two days.

During the break, Kelly, with a mocking smile, looked at Jennifer and said, “Aren’t you pregnant? Still doing intense activities like this? Aren’t you worried about a miscarriage?”

Jennifer followed Kelly’s gaze and noticed something. She quickly adjusted her shirt, regretting not choosing a longer one.
Looking up at Kelly, she replied coldly, “Whether I’m pregnant or not is my private business. I don’t owe you an explanation!”
Kelly sneered, “I guess I hit the nail on the head, huh?”
Vivian frowned and spoke up, “Kelly,

Kelly didn’t dare argue back, so she lowered her head to eat.
Jennifer, however, didn’t let it go. She leaned in and said quietly, “Did you hear that Sarah’s little lackey got sued? If you keep hanging around her, that’ll be your future too.”
Kelly’s expression changed instantly. She realized Jennifer was threatening her.
