Chapter 302 Her Final Compromise
“Who hit you?” Vivian worriedly asked when she saw the handprint on Jennifer’s face.
Jennifer remained silent.
Understanding immediately, Vivian quickly had someone bring an ice pack and handed it to Jennifer. “Here, put this on it.”
Jennifer took the ice pack, touched by the gesture. “Maybe we’ll see each other again someday.”
Vivian couldn’t help asking, “Did they threaten you?”
“No, it’s just… well, you all know how complicated this situation
is.”
Jennifer looked at everyone present. “I won’t waste time
explaining more. I’m sure we’ll have chances to work together in
the future.”
Even though she was leaving now, she knew she’d be back someday.
Vivian felt uneasy. “I heard your fiancé didn’t object to you working at the studio. Why don’t you talk to him about this?”
After all, he’d been bringing Jennifer food to the studio. regularly.
Chapter 302 Her Final Compromise His attitude seemed supportive enough.
Jennifer gave a bitter smile. “We’ll see.”
It was too late to reach out to Timothy now.

She couldn’t let everyone’s hard work for the past six months go. down the drain.
After speaking, Jennifer hurried out, only to find the Clark family still there.
She approached Millie and said, “I’ve explained everything to Ms. Hoover.”
“You better keep your word. Stop running off to that studio and spend more time at home. Taking care of my son’s health should be your top priority.”
Millie clearly looked down on Jennifer. If it weren’t for Timothy’s legs, she would never have allowed the engagement.
At that moment, Sarah brazenly chimed in. “Don’t worry, Madam. With my brother’s experimental treatment, I’m sure Mr. Clark will be walking again soon.”
“What did you say? Your brother developed something?”
Millie was caught off guard. How had she not heard about this?
Sarah shot Jennifer a pointed look. “Oh, didn’t Jennifer tell you?
Chapter 302 Her Final Compromise
Even Madam Mary Clark knows about it.”
With that single comment, Sarah deliberately threw both of them under the bus.

Millie could only direct her anger at Jennifer. “How could you keep such important news from me?”
Before Jennifer could defend herself, Sarah jumped in again. “Don’t be too hard on her. She was probably too caught up with her studio work to remember.”
“How could anyone forget something this crucial? Jennifer, you’re forbidden from going to that studio anymore. Your only job is to stay by my son’s side! What else are you good for to the Clark family?”
Nothing mattered more to Millie than her son’s health.
And now there might be a chance for recovery, yet Jennifer hadn’t said a word!
Mary felt uncomfortable and glanced at Sarah. “This is a Clark family matter. What right does an outsider like you have to butt in? Weren’t your Hargreaves folks just locked up for two days at Kinglet Villa?”
Millie was surprised. “What happened?”
Sarah lowered her head, looking pitiful. “It was my fault for upsetting Jennifer. Mr. Clark punished us on her behalf. It wasn’t a big deal, really.”
Chapter 302 Her Final Compromise Millie still didn’t quite understand.

Mary leaned in close and quietly explained the whole situation.
Mary had forgotten to tell Millie about this after getting scolded by Angelina that day, but it came in handy now.
After hearing everything, Millie was fuming. “Jennifer, I can’t believe you’re so arrogant and domineering, manipulating my son to do these things!”
Jennifer felt exasperated. “I never manipulated him to do anything.”
“But he did it all for you.”
Jennifer didn’t argue with that. Timothy had indeed done it for her. There was no denying that.
Though angry, Millie turned to Sarah and pressed, “You just said your brother developed a miracle drug. Is that true?”
“Of course it’s true.”
Sarah spoke with pride, then glanced at Jennifer. “But because of what happened at Kinglet Villa, Dylan is furious and says he won’t cooperate with the Clark family anymore.”
“That’s unacceptable!”
Millie was worried. It concerned her son’s recovery, after all.

apologize to your brother.”
