After Timothy spoke, he fell silent for a moment.
Angelina broke the quiet. “What’s wrong? You actually have something you want to discuss with me?”

“Grandma, I know my mother has never liked Jennifer. Once my leg recovers, she’s only going to make things worse.”
Seeing Jennifer being targeted by his mother today had left Timothy uneasy. He didn’t want the same thing to happen again.
Angelina pondered for a moment. “Timothy, I know when
I initially arranged your engagement to Jennifer, you were reluctant.”
Angelina had her reasons back then. She simply wanted a girl to stay by Timothy’s side. She hadn’t expected much in terms of love between them.
But love, as it often does, is unpredictable.
Timothy paused briefly before saying, “That’s why I’d like to discuss something with you. Only you can help me with this.”
He finally voiced what was on his mind..

Angelina chuckled at his words. “Fine, I’ll help. But whether or not it turns out the way you want, I can’t guarantee.”
“Once the time comes, I’ll handle the rest myself,” Timothy replied.
He didn’t want Angelina worrying about him forever.
Once his leg fully healed, he’d be able to pursue everything he truly wanted.
After ending the call, Timothy returned to his bedroom.
Walking to the bed, he saw Jennifer sound asleep. He reached out and gently adjusted her blanket.
Upon looking at her still–flushed cheek, his gaze darkened.
The next day, when Jennifer woke up, she felt as if she’d slept for an eternity.
She grabbed her phone to check the time and was shocked to see it was already 3 PM.
She hadn’t expected to sleep for so long.
Yawning, Jennifer got out of bed, feeling much more refreshed..
Upon thinking back to yesterday’s events, her spirits lifted. After all, her studio had worked so hard and finally won first place.
This was a dream Vivian had cherished for years.

Jennifer picked up her phone and saw Vivian’s message in the group chat. She was organizing a celebratory dinner and had given everyone in the studio a two–week vacation.
Her colleagues had sent her links to entertainment news covering the fashion show from the previous night.
The headlines read: [Timothy Shows Support for His Fiancée, Showing Off Their Sweet Love.]
Reading the articles, Jennifer saw they described her relationship with Timothy as loving and supportive, saying they’d been through everything together.
If she didn’t know the truth, she might have believed they were madly in love.
She found the reports odd.
Previously, any news involving Timothy had been negative, especially after the scandal where she was accused of infidelity.
But this time, the media narrative had completely shifted.
Jennifer speculated that it might have something to do with Angelina scolding Mary last time. Perhaps Mary didn’t dare tarnish Timothy’s reputation in the press anymore.
At least for now, Jennifer felt Mary might behave herself, which was a relief.

Constant being slandered, even if they didn’t care much, could still be frustrating.
After washing up and changing, Jennifer went downstairs.
Ryan approached her respectfully. “Ms. Hargreaves, what would you like to eat? The kitchen is ready to serve anything you
want.”
“Anything’s fine,” Jennifer replied.
She was a bit hungry and noticed that Ryan’s attitude toward her had changed significantly.
Sharon walked over and added, “It’s all arranged by Mr. Clark. He told us to let you sleep as long as you wanted and asked us not to disturb you.”
Jennifer smiled as she ate.
She could sense Timothy’s guilt over yesterday’s events. She knew he was trying to make it up to her.
After her meal, Jennifer decided not to go to university.
It was already late, and there wouldn’t be much time left to study in the library.
She took a walk around the villa grounds, eventually arriving at the garden. The tulips there were blooming beautifully.
Seeing them reminded her that Timothy’s ex–girlfriend had

She had heard stories about how Timothy had once hired skilled gardeners at great expense to plant them for her.
Turning away from the flowers, Jennifer headed upstairs to the study. She had made up her mind to focus on curing Timothy’s leg and wanted to get to work immediately.
Not long after, Ryan knocked on the door. “Ms. Hargreaves, Mrs. Millie Clark is here.”
