Chapter 321 You’re Lying
Dylan breathed a sigh of relief when Jennifer finally agreed.

He stepped forward, extending his hand. “That’s more like it.”
But just as he reached for it, Jennifer let go, and the serum. slipped from his grasp, shattering on the floor with a loud crack.
Liquid splattered everywhere.
At that moment, Dylan felt his mind go blank. He quickly bent down, scrambling to pick up the pieces and use a pipette to salvage whatever he could.
Sarah, confused, asked, “Dylan, what’s going on? Is this reagent really that important?”
“Of course it is! This is the latest version of the special medicine -that’s the only one!”
Dylan’s frustration boiled over, and he could feel his head about to explode.
Researchers nearby rushed over, trying to help, but there was hardly any liquid left to collect.
As Dylan watched the situation unfold, he muttered, “It’s over. It’s all over.”

“What do we do now?” Sarah asked, panic creeping into her
voice.

“How should I know?” Dylan shot back, his eyes narrowing as he glared at Jennifer, rage burning in his
gaze.

Jennifer, perched casually the lab bench, crossed her legs and smiled, clearly enjoying the chaos.
Seeing Dylan in such agony brought her a twisted sense of satisfaction.
As Dylan stepped closer, ready to lash out, Jennifer held up cup. “Why don’t you come a little closer and find out?”

Dylan struggled to contain his anger. “Jennifer, do you even have a conscience? Are you trying to ruin me or just make sure Timothy never walks again?”
Jennifer replied coolly, “I just want to destroy you. Timothy will stand again.”
Jennifer was unfazed, though, knowing exactly how this
high–grade miracle drug had been produced. She could replicate it if needed.
But Dylan? He was out of luck.
Dylan’s finger jabbed toward her as he shouted, “Do you realize how hard I worked to create that high–purity reagent? And now you’ve destroyed it! How do you plan to make this right?”

Sarah tentatively spoke up, “Dylan, can’t you just purify another batch?”
Dylan fell silent, the weight of her question hanging in the air.
He could attempt to purify another batch, but everything he had tried since Jennifer’s success had failed.
Dylan didn’t want to admit that he was falling short compared to her; he had kept that to himself, hoping to find a solution.
But here he was, out of options.
Millie, catching on to the gravity of the situation, exclaimed, “What are we going to do?”
Dylan wore a sardonic smile. “The person you need to be asking isn’t me; it’s Jennifer. This is her mess.”
All eyes turned to Jennifer, and Millie stormed up to her, slapping her across the face.
“Why would you do this, Jennifer?”
The sting of the slap brought Jennifer’s head up, and she retaliated with a swift strike of her own.
Millie stumbled back, incredulous. “How dare you hit me?”
Jennifer met her gaze, unflinching. “And what gives you the right to hit me?”

She was done with putting up with Millie’s nonsense, and this was just the beginning.
“Isn’t it obvious? You ruined my son’s special medicine because you want him to be stuck in that wheelchair forever, all so you can cling to your position as Mrs. Clark! Dream on; I won’t let you get away with this!” Millic’s voice trembled with anger, tears streaming down her cheeks.
Today was supposed to be a celebration of their achievements, but instead, everything had been destroyed by Jennifer. Millie felt as if her world was collapsing around her.
Jennifer wore a cold smile. “Think whatever you want.”
“Jennifer, how can you be so cruel?” Millie shot back, her voice
thick with emotion.
Jennifer replied, a hint of mockery in her tone, “Oh, I’m the cruel one? But have you ever considered why he’s so worked up over a single sample? Is that all there is to it?”
Dylan, feeling the heat of her accusation, stammered, “That’s because the research on this special medicine is incredibly difficult. This is the only batch we’ve been able to produce so
far.”
“But if this special medicine needs to go through clinical trials, one isn’t nearly enough,” Jennifer retorted, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
She looked at Dylan, her eyes piercing. “The truth is, you don’t

have much progress to show, and there’s no way you’ll be ready for Phase IV trials by the end of the year.”
Dylan’s voice rose in protest. “You know nothing. We’ll be ready for Phase IV trials by the end of the year!”
Jennifer scoffed, “You’re lying.”
She knew all too well how the progress on the special medicine was going.
