Chapter 323 Really Hoping For

Jennifer’s strength ebbed away as she collapsed onto the floor, but the agonizing screams of Sarah rang in her cars. She must. have hit her.
She thought, “Sarah thought I’d just take it? Then she deserves this.”
Now that she had nothing left to lose, fear was the last thing on her mind.
Jennifer hit the ground hard, her eyelids growing heavier, but she gritted her teeth and held on.
She couldn’t collapse in the lab.
She thought, “I had to get out, or how would Timothy know where I was?”
Jennifer crawled inch by inch, everyone’s attention focused on Sarah, no one caring about her comings or goings.
“Jennifer, do you really think you can just walk away after making such a huge mistake?”
Dylan saw Jennifer crawling towards the exit, his anger propelling him forward. “You’re not leaving this lab!”
He thought, “Not unless you agree to reveal the research.

Millie stood frozen, jaw dropped. She never thought Jennifer had it in her to fight so dirty.

But she’d conveniently forgotten that Sarah had thrown the first punch. Jennifer was just defending herself.
No one bothered to see things from Jennifer’s perspective. Everyone thought she was in the wrong.
Dylan grabbed Jennifer by the hair, his tone icy cold. “Listen, this lab isn’t a place you can come and go as you please.”
Jennifer could barely keep herself upright, her strength completely drained. She just kept looking towards the door.
She thought, “What am I really hoping for?”
“Maybe I shouldn’t think too much. No one would care about
me.”
At that moment, the windows on both sides of the lab were shattered, and someone broke in through the broken windows:
As the sound reached Jennifer’s ears, she opened her heavy eyes and saw a figure in a wheelchair.
She thought, “Was it Timothy?”
By this time, Jennifer had hardly any strength left. Sarah must have used a lot of ether.

She thought, “How wonderful it would be if it was Timothy who had come.”
People appeared from all directions, and Timothy, with a stern face, entered the lab, followed by armed men, fully geared up.
Seeing Jennifer lying on the ground, bleeding and battered, he lost all reason.
He pulled out his pistol and fired at Dylan without a moment’s hesitation.
Dylan, seeing Timothy appear, had been on guard, so he was able to dodge when Timothy fired.
Even so, Dylan’s hand was injured, and he could only hide behind Millie, betting that Timothy wouldn’t dare to harm his own mother.
When Timothy’s gun was aimed at Millie, he finally stopped.
But his eyes were cold, filled with murderous intent, sending at chill down Millie’s spine. If she weren’t his mother, she would have been dead by now.
Millie had never seen her son so furious. She thought, “Could it be that he truly cared that much for Jennifer?”
Timothy went straight to Jennifer, bent down, and picked her

- up. When he saw her injuries, his eyes roiled with even more murderous intent, barely contained.

The next second, Jennifer reached out and touched Timothy’s face, and his expression softened significantly.
She murmured, “Is it you, Timothy?”
“It’s me.”
Timothy’s voice was exceptionally hoarse. He hadn’t expected to see Jennifer so severely injured.
He should have killed everyone from the Hargreaves family long
ago.
He felt these bastards didn’t deserve to live, nor did they deserve. to be her family.
For a moment, rage filled his chest. He wanted to destroy this place.
Upon hearing his voice, Jennifer felt much more at ease.
Her voice choked with tears. “It’s good that you’re here.”
With him here, she was safe.
When he heard the tearful tone in her voice, Timothy’s stone heart softened significantly. He held her firmly in his arms and spoke softly, “I’m here. Don’t be afraid.”

Jennifer had always been used to bearing everything on her own because no one would speak up for her, and no one truly cared about her.
In her past life, she had died alone and miserably.
But now, facing Timothy, the grievances inside her burst forth.
Timothy bent down and kissed the tears from the corner of her eyes. “I know. I’ll kill them for you.”
He thought, “They all deserve to die.”
