Chapter 333 Two Choices
Millie’s eyes blazed with fury as she whirled on Timothy. “Did you hear that? You could’ve been on your feet by next year, but instead, you wrecked the lab, all because of that bitch Jennifer. And now, Dylan is injured! What were you thinking?”
Tightly wrapping his arms around the unconscious Jennifer, Timothy didn’t flinch and announced flatly, “I don’t regret it.”
“Timothy! Are you trying to drive me to an early grave?”
Angelina stepped forward, raising her hand to stop the brewing storm. “Enough. Let’s put an end to this.”
“This is all Jennifer’s fault! Can’t you see that? Why are you still protecting her?”
“Shut up. You’re the one who caused this mess. Jennifer had nothing to do with it.”
Even though Angelina was deeply worried about Timothy’s legs, she was not the kind of person to take out her frustrations on the innocent.
Millie’s sneer was biting. “I don’t think you’re really that
worried about Timothy’s legs. After all, you have other sons and grandsons to carry on the family name. His legs don’t really matter to you, do they?”

With a swift motion, Angelina raised her hand and slapped.
Millic.

Her expression turned gravely serious. “Are you awake now? Do you see things clearly?”
Millic cradled her stinging check, unable to regain her composure for quite some time.
Angelina spoke with a calm steadiness, “Your priority right now is to get Mr. Dylan Hargreaves to the hospital.”
The reality of the situation hit Millie like a punch to the gut. Her son could end Dylan’s life at any second.
She sneered, “If he doesn’t give a damn about his own legs, why the hell should I bother?”
A deep sense of injustice gnawed at her. She had done so much for her son, yet he was throwing it all away for Jennifer.
The lab was a chaotic mess. Timothy had clung to the hope of walking again, with recovery on the horizon for the next year. But now, those dreams of renovation lay shattered like the glass strewn across the floor.
Angelina pulled Millie aside and declared sternly, “Are you going to ignore my words now? Take Mr. Dylan Hargreaves to the hospital. Now.”
Reluctantly, Millie gave in, bundling Dylan into her car and driving away.

He spoke indifferently, “Grandma, if you hadn’t shown up, I would’ve ended all of this already. Why are you still protecting the Hargreaves family? Can’t you see what they did to Jennifer?”
“I saw what happened. That’s exactly why I’m stopping it.”
Angelina’s face melted into a gentler look as she spoke, “I know you want to stand up for Jennifer, but using such extreme. methods will only give them more ammunition. Besides, Dylan is still working on that special medicine which could heal your leg.”
Timothy retorted, “I can recover without him.”
“Have you made any progress in the lab?”
Timothy gazed at Jennifer, who was curled up in his embrace, lost to the world.
His voice dropped to a tender whisper, “The medicine is all tied to her.”
“Jennifer knows how to whip up that medicine too?”
Angelina’s eyebrows shot up in surprise. After a moment of contemplation, she remarked, “But Jennifer never mentioned a word about this. If she had, your mother wouldn’t have gone to such lengths. She truly did this for your sake.”

It was true. Millie did love her son.

Timothy replied with a touch of irony, “But what she considers. ‘for my own good‘ is just her own viewpoint. She’s also saving face for herself, isn’t she?”
Because of his disability, Millic had to endure icy remarks and mockery, with Mary being the chief tormentor among them.
Angelina sighed, “You should also understand your mother. She definitely crossed the line today. I’ll make sure to keep her in check, so this mess doesn’t repeat itself.”
She fixed Timothy with a grave look and added, “We’ll discuss the special medicine when things calm down. Right now, get Jennifer to the hospital. I’ll handle the cleanup here.”
Timothy frowned in annoyance. “I don’t need your help with something this minor.”
Angelina smiled softly, “Just do it. I can still handle this. Let me take care of the aftermath here. Go.”
She patted him on the shoulder. “I’m happy to see that you and Jennifer have grown so close.”
Timothy’s face took on an awkward shade as he glanced at Jennifer nestled in his arms, his gaze softening considerably.
He adjusted her position carefully and maneuvered his wheelchair out of the lab.

As soon as he left, the black–clad bodyguards, who had been positioned around the building, melted away into the shadows.
Angelina raised her hand, signaling the team she had brought with her. They moved in swiftly, cleaning up the remnants of the chaos. Anything that could tarnish the Clark family’s reputation needed to be dealt with quietly and efficiently.
She turned to the remaining lab personnel and declared, “You have two choices. Sign the NDA and accept the compensation, or refuse and face prison.”
Her voice was soft, yet it carried an unmistakable firmness that brooked no argument.
