Chapter 350 All Jennifer’s Fault

Dylan never saw anything wrong with his actions. In his mind, Jennifer had simply become rebellious and stopped listening to him, as though she had outgrown her place.
Asher, momentarily speechless, replied, “But Jennifer is an adult now. She’s not the same little sister who used to follow us around, someone we could easily push around.”
“No matter how much she changes, she’s still my sister,” Dylan insisted, feeling that Jennifer should always respect him.
“Yet, Jennifer is also Timothy’s fiancée now. Even if Mrs. Millic Clark said she would bring Jennifer over to apologize, you all went too far. Making her kneel–don’t you think that’s a bit
much?”
“Then what about what she did to us? Locking us in a cage and denying us food and water? Is that not over the line?” he argued, recalling the past grievances.
“I get it that you’re trying to protect the marriage contract with the Clark family, trying to save Hargreaves Group from going under, but constantly backing down is just giving them more power. We can’t let them walk all over us.”
Dylan’s anger somehow flared.
“If Timothy wants to recover and get back on his feet, he’s going

to have to humble himself. We can’t let the Clark family dominate us forever, can we? I’m not letting them push ust around.”

Dylan had gotten used to the way things were with Jennifer. He didn’t think there was any issue with how he treated her.
Now that she was “backed by the Clark family,” she thought she could just do whatever she wanted.
He was determined to teach her a lesson, making her listen.
Asher was quiet for a moment, before asking, “Are you sure that only you can come up with this miracle cure? Do you think the Clark family won’t make progress on their own?”
Dylan responded confidently, “I’m sure of it. After all, if they had a breakthrough, wouldn’t we have seen it by now?”
He added, somewhat smugly, “I think Timothy’s really just trying to take my company. He’s trying to use his pressure on Hargreaves Group to force me to sell. That way, he can steal my patent and keep researching the cure himself.”
Asher nodded thoughtfully. “That makes sense.”
Dylan’s tone became more casual as he continued, “Exactly. Timothy’s the one who needs the cure, not us. So, what do we have to fear?”
“But there’s still one thing I need to ask. Didn’t Jennifer help. you with some research at the lab? Did she contribute to any
Chapter 350 All Jennifer’s Fault major breakthroughs?”

Asher’s curiosity was piqued, remembering something about Jennifer’s involvement, though he couldn’t recall all the details.
It could be about the miracle cure.
Dylan’s expression shifted. He was reluctant to talk about it. “Jennifer didn’t solve any research problems for me. That’s just something I said to make her feel important. You really believe that?” His voice was defensive now.
He had no intention of letting the truth get out.
If the Clark family knew that Jennifer had contributed to his work, they might use it to their advantage, and Dylan’s chance to control the situation would be over.
He had to make sure everyone believed he was the only one capable of finding a cure, so the Clark family wouldn’t turn on him.
Sure, Jennifer had helped him crack that formula, but she never actually participated in the research. Without him, she couldn’t replicate the cure on her own.
Asher pressed, “Dylan, you don’t need to hide anything from me. We’re on the same side. We can come up with a plan together.”
Dylan’s tone grew sharper. “You’re not seriously listening to Jennifer’s nonsense, are you? Do you really believe she could casily come up with a cure? All my years of research, and you

want to say she did something? That would make everything I’ve done a joke.”
Asher hesitated but eventually nodded. “You’re right. A cure like that wouldn’t be easy for anyone to develop.”
He then asked, “So, what’s your plan now?”
Dylan’s answer was simple but harsh. “I’ll negotiate with the Clark family. If they keep pushing me, then I’ll sell the formula to someone else or destroy it. That way, Timothy will never walk again. I’m sure Millie Clark will know what to do.”
After all, Millie was desperate for Timothy’s recovery.
Asher, always more cautious, suggested, “You should talk to Timothy directly, not his mother.”
Dylan scoffed at the idea. “Why bother with Timothy? The man is so obsessed with Jennifer, he can’t even take care of himself. What’s there to discuss?”
But the real reason was something Dylan wasn’t sharing.
