Chapter 11
“Stella, I truly regret it. I could have had a good life…”
From his rambling, I learned that in his past life, after discovering the truth, he had committed suicide in front of my and our child’s graves.
The sound of the sirens grew louder. Suddenly, I heard the sound of the car lock being released.
My heart skipped a beat. Realizing what was happening, I quickly opened the door and got out of the car.
The moment I stepped out, he immediately started the engine. It was only then that I realized he had parked the car right at the edge of a cliff.
As the gray van plunged straight down the cliff, the chilling scream of Winona and Cole’s voice echoed in the air.

Chapter 11
“Stella, next time, I won‘ t make the wrong choice.”
I was paralyzed with fear, my stomach tightening in waves. Just as I was about to fall, a warm embrace caught me. It was
Samuel.
He held me tightly, his face ashen and despite his usual calm demeanor, his eyes were bloodshot and tearful. His voice trembled as he whispered, “I thought I was going to watch you die again.”
I looked at him, stunned.
I finally realized that he had also been reborn.
It turned out that ever since the two families arranged the marriage, he had been quietly watching over me and had already fallen in love with me. In his heart, I had always been his wife.
However, he never expected that I would later oppose the marriage agreement between our families just to be with Cole.

Chapter 11
Although it pained him, he could only let go. My parents‘ agreement to the marriage was also partly because of his efforts. He had shouldered many burdens behind the scenes, doing a lot for my happiness.
He had never expected that the next time he heard news of me, it would be the news of my disappearance.
It wasn’t until later, when Cole discovered the truth and took his own life, that he found my remains and erected a tombstone for me and my parents.
He never married, but it seemed that fate was kind. Not only was I given a second chance, but so was he.
Although we shared no emotional connection in this life, his care for me came from the deep love he had always held for me, even if I had been unaware.
The distance I had always felt between us suddenly seemed to vanish. I tightened my embrace around him.

Chapter 11
As my parents rushed toward me from behind, I broke into uncontrollable tears.
In the end, it was Samuel who held me and
walked us back.
Curled up in his embrace, I couldn’t help but glance back one last time.
“Cole, it’s over. I hope we never meet again, forever and ever.”
