Chapter 381 Sarah’s True Colors
James quickly explained, “Not at all, Ms. Hargreaves. I’ll prepare the fruit platter for you right away.”

“That’s more like it,” Jennifer sneered. “And now, do you really think you’ll be safe at Hargreaves Villa? Your paycheck comes from Sarah. If this woman gets kicked out of here, do you think you’ll still have a place to stay? You know who you should be serving, don’t you?”
Jennifer’s thoughts furned to all the years Sarah had colluded. with James to suppress her.
Anger simmered inside her. This was the perfect chance for revenge–how could she let it slip away?
After James left, Sarah, clearly furious, spoke up, “Jennifer, you did that on purpose, didn’t you? You knew I was preparing dinner and trying to apologize to Asher. You deliberately sent James away to stop me from getting his forgiveness and staying in the villa, didn’t you?”
Jennifer’s eyes glinted with mockery. “Well, it’s nice that you finally understand. And just so you know, I’ve never liked the way you’ve been doing things. That’s been obvious since we were kids. Are you stupid, or what?”
Sarah’s voice cracked. “If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have lost my mother. I wouldn’t have ended up an orphan and been

forced to live under your roof all these years.”
Tears welled up in Sarah’s eyes.

She believed that since Jennifer had killed her mother, Jennifer should be suffering for the rest of her life.
Jennifer let out a cold laugh. “Oh really? My roof? All these years, you’ve had better food, clothes, and treatment than I have. Does that sound like being an orphan?”
“Yes, your roof! You sent my butler away, didn’t you?”
“I think I’ll tell Asher exactly what you said when he comes back.”
Sarah’s face paled, her voice rising in anger. “You wouldn’t dare! And even if you did, Asher wouldn’t believe you.”
Her eyes were filled with bitterness. From childhood, Asher had always believed her over anyone else.
Jennifer smirked. “You think I didn’t plan for this? You think I’m stupid?”
She pulled out her phone, shaking it in front of Sarah. “I’ve recorded everything you said. When Asher comes back, I’ll play it for him. Do you really think he’ll believe I now?”
Before, Asher might not have believed it, but now? Things were different. He had serious doubts about Sarah.

Sarah’s face twisted with fear. She lunged forward, trying to grab it, but Jennifer easily pushed her away.
Tears filled Sarah’s eyes. “Jennifer, you’re actually scheming against
me?”
Jennifer gave her a cold smile. “You were so sure Asher wouldn’t believe me. Why are you grabbing my phone now? Could it be that you’re scared?”
Sarah’s face turned red with rage. “Are
you trying to push me to the edge? Why do you want to ruin me so badly?”
Jennifer’s voice was sharp and unfeeling. “Cut the act. There’s no one here for you to play to. You think I’d feel sorry for you? Not a chance.”
She crossed her arms and spoke in a tone colder than ice, “We’ve always been enemies, Sarah. When I see you suffer, I’m actually kind of happy. Feel sorry for you? Not in a million years.”
Jennifer had already died once in her past life. She didn’t owe the Hargreaves family anything–especially not Sarah.
She had repaid everything.
Sarah stopped crying, her face now twisted with venom. “You’re just jealous. I’ve always been the one who was favored, while you were ignored. This is all your fault. What does it have to do with me?”
Jennifer rolled her eyes. “Enough with the nonsense. You think I
brought you back to Hargreaves Villa because I’m scared? No, I just want to watch the drama unfold.”
Asher had just kicked Sarah out of the villa, and now, Sarah was
back?
It was going to make for an interesting showdown between Asher. and Sarah.
Just then, James walked in with a fruit platter and placed it in front of Jennifer. “Ms. Hargreaves, is there anything else I can do for
you?”
“Not for now.”
James turned toward Sarah, his expression colder now. “Ms. Campbell, we need to head to the kitchen and start preparing dinner. Time is running out.”
With a furious huff, Sarah stomped off to the kitchen.
As she walked, she vowed to herself that if she could get Asher’s forgiveness this time, she wouldn’t let Jennifer get away with it.
This time, Jennifer had caught her off guard, but that wouldn’t last.
After all, Timothy was about to break off his engagement with Jennifer, and without the Clark family as her backer, Jennifer’s days of arrogance were numbered.
Sarah glanced at the ingredients on the counter. She even made

one of Jennifer’s favorite dishes, though she’d added a little something extra.
