Chapter 16 What a Coincidence!
Abigail didn’t bother to explain anything to Anthony and Michelle.
She just sneered, “You are right. They are, indeed, false. Because of my love for you, I was willing to feign gentleness and obedience. However, I am even getting a divorce, so any pretense is no longer necessary.”
She turned to leave with Felix.
Anthony’s hands shook with anger. “Hey, are you so willing to be with a divorced woman with a child?”
Felix could tell that Anthony was speaking to him.
Abigail and Felix paused, and he pivoted around, stared
at Anthony, and sneered, “Sir, it is the 21st century now. Feudalism has long been abolished. The value of a woman is not reflected by these things at all. It seems that it is a wise choice for her to divorce you.”
Without giving Anthony a chance to reply, Felix took Abigail
away.
Until their backs were completely out of sight, Anthony was too furious to speak.
Michelle observed his reaction, pretending to be considerate.

“Anthony, Abigail must be mad at you for being with me, so she found a man to piss you off. Don’t take it seriously.”
He remained silent with a dark face.
Michelle added. “Abigail is really going too far. She is already a mother, but why is she still so childish?”
The evening was spoiled.
Anthony gritted his teeth and went out, followed by Michelle, who secretly sneered.
Abigail and Felix left the amusement park, and her face was a little pale.
“Where are you going? I’ll take you there.”
Abigail shook her head at the thought that she had already troubled him a lot today and that she had almost involved him in the matter between herself and Anthony. “I have already moved out of Amy’s place. I will take a taxi back by myself. Thank you for today.”
Sensing her eagerness to draw a line between them immediately, Felix couldn’t help but smile, “Why, do you really think you are having an affair with me because of others‘ vilification?”
“No. In fact, I heard from Amy about your tight schedule. I am sorry to bother you all the time.”
Felix insisted, “Take it as a privilege for your birthday. It’s

Given his firm attitude, another refusal would have seemed
deliberate.
Abigail finally got into Felix’s car.

Along the way, she remained silent with her eyes slightly shut, and he didn’t start a conversation with much tact.
When the car arrived at the gate of the residential compound, she was about to offer to walk in by herself because
non–residents‘ cars were not allowed in.
Unexpectedly, the gate of the residential compound automatically recognized Felix’s license plate number and was opened.
“Mr. Rowe, welcome home.”
The electronic reminder startled Abigail.
“Do you live here, too?”
Instead of making a reply, Felix parked the car downstairs at Abigail’s apartment and turned off the engine.
“Do you live in this building, too?”
Felix raised his eyebrows. “What a coincidence!”
Five minutes later, Abigail stood at the door of her newly rented

apartment, watching him open the door of the apartment. opposite.
Only then did she realize how coincidental it was.
“Do you live next door?”
Felix flung his coat carelessly over his shoulders.

“I want to ask you the same question. I hear your apartment is an unlucky place, but it is quite suitable for you.”
Felix went into his apartment and closed the door.
After a few seconds, Abigail came back to her senses and. couldn’t help but smile.
“Indeed, this apartment is quite suitable for me.”
Meanwhile, Michelle had expected Anthony to return to the Robinson Manor with her today.
But to her disappointment, he drove away after dropping her off.
Back at the villa, Anthony stared at the empty room with not even the lights on and knew that Abigail had not come back again.
He gritted his teeth and used the landline on the table to dial her number.

At that moment, Abigail, who had already taken a shower, was lying comfortably in bed, ready for sleep.
When her phone rang, she pressed the answer button drowsily.
In an instant, Anthony’s voice woke her up.
“Abigail, I want to see you at home within half an hour. Don’t let me repeat it.”
“You have no right to boss me around.”
If it had been in the past, she would have carried out his orders immediately.
But that was based on her willingness, and now she was no longer willing.
Abigail’s decisive rejection irritated Anthony.
“I know you wanted to find a man to piss me off. I tell you now, you’ve made it. I’m really furious. Come back now, and we can talk it over.”
Abigail couldn’t help but laugh at herself.
She wondered how wholehearted her affection for him had been that had given him such confidence.
“It’s not necessary for us to talk.”
After hanging up, Abigail covered herself with the quilt again,

forcing herself not to think too much and to have a good sleep.
Frustrated, Anthony immediately picked up the landline and threw it to the floor.
The room was dim, and his long hair hid his eyebrows and eyes. It was some time before he could compose himself. Then, het sank on the sofa.
“You want to make a fuss, right? I have plenty of ways to force you to come back obediently.”
Anthony made a call in a low voice.
“Cut off the funds for the Taylor Group.”
He didn’t believe that Abigail would still be so willful when the Taylor family was in trouble.
The next morning, Abigail was awakened by an important event reminder on her mobile phone.
She turned on her phone and saw that it was only six o’clock in the morning and that the reminder on the screen read: [Today is the parent–child party at Marcus‘ kindergarten.]
Abigail’s heart skipped a beat, and she subconsciously quickly got up to make preparations.
But the next second, she suddenly reacted and collapsed back on the bed like a deflated balloon.

Marcus attended an international bilingual kindergarten where students came from wealthy or powerful families.
It often held parent–child parties to foster parent–child relationships, but in fact, such gatherings were for the children’s mothers to show their talents.
They were good at making desserts, handicrafts, or designing clothes. In short, they went to great lengths to make their children the envy of others in kindergarten.
Abigail did not advocate this method from the beginning, as it was easy for children to learn to make comparisons from an early age.
But she was a mother, after all, so she always tried her best to help Marcus carn enough face.
This year, after receiving the invitation to the parent–child party at the kindergarten, Abigail immediately agreed to be responsible for the dessert.
But an unexpected change had taken place before the party, and when the day came, there was no longer any need for her to go.
Despite her desire to go to bed again, Abigail tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep.
She simply gave up. Then, she got up and changed into casual clothes, intending to go downstairs and buy some groceries for breakfast.

To her surprise, she stepped out of her apartment and ran into Felix, dressed in tracksuits and ready to go out.
