Chapter 19 The Last Time
Marcus‘ annoyance reached its peak. Suddenly, he threw away the fruit, turned around, and ran out.
The teacher rushed out, but he was nowhere to be seen.
Abigail received a call from the teacher.
“Mrs. Robinson, it’s terrible. Marcus ran out of the classroom. We searched for him at the kindergarten for a long time but couldn’t find him.”
After all, Marcus was her son. Abigail was worried about him.
“Please continue to look for him. I will contact his father, and we will be there right away.”
After hanging up, Abigail removed Anthony from the blacklist unwillingly.
At the sight of her caller ID, Anthony, who was reading documents in the office, couldn’t help but smile.
It seemed that targeting the Taylor family was indeed effective. No matter how stubborn Abigail was, she had to give in.
Anthony answered the call. Before he could speak, she said, “Anthony, Marcus ran out of the kindergarten and disappeared.”

Startled, he immediately slammed the desk and stood up. “What did you say?”
Half an hour later, when they arrived at the kindergarten gate, the teacher had searched everywhere but still couldn’t find
Marcus.
In the end, they checked the surveillance footage, which showed Marcus secretly sneaking out of the kindergarten through the gate when the security guards were not paying attention to him.
Abigail subconsciously wanted to call the police.
But she gave up the idea immediately after realizing that the police wouldn’t handle it until someone had been missing for 24 hours.
After Abigail and Anthony left the kindergarten, he called to send people to look for Marcus everywhere.
Later, he hung up and glared at her with a cold face.
“You’d better pray that Marcus will be fine. Otherwise, I will make you pay!”
Abigail frowned. With everything going on, he still threatened her.
“He ran away on his own.”
“Abigail! Now, are you still trying to shirk your responsibility? If

you had come to the parent–child party, Marcus wouldn’t have sneaked away!”
Unwilling to argue with Anthony, Abigail turned away and searched the neighborhood for Marcus.
After passing an intersection, she was crossing the road in a hurry and almost collided with an oncoming police car.
Fortunately, the policeman in the car reacted quickly and
slammed on the brakes.
Abigail quickly apologized repeatedly.
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.”
“Ms. Taylor?”
Abigail glanced up and saw that the policeman was Justin, whom she had met that day when she went to pick up Amy.
“Mr. Moore.”
“What’s the hurry?”
Abigail’s palms were sweating from anxiety. “My son ran away from kindergarten, and I can’t find him. I’m looking for him
now.”
Justin frowned. “I am patrolling this area. Get into the car, and I will take you to look for him.”

There was strength in numbers, and it was always good to have the help of the police.
Abigail immediately got into the police car.
After all, Justin was a policeman, so his thinking was clearer. With the kindergarten as his center, he searched in circles.
Soon, Abigail saw Marcus at the door of a dessert shop.
He held a small piece of cake and was about to cat it.
Abigail quickly got out of the car and knocked the cake to the ground.
Marcus was immediately annoyed. He looked up and, to his surprise, saw that it was Abigail. Then, he subconsciously became more annoyed.
“What are you doing? Didn’t you say you didn’t want to be my mother? Why did you knock over my cake?!”
Abigail trembled all over with anger.
She had never beaten Marcus since he was born, but today she couldn’t help but spank him hard on the butt twice.
“How dare you run around! How could you be so reckless?”
Marcus was a child, after all, and he burst into tears.
Justin got out of the car, stepped forward, and grabbed Abigail.

“Ms. Taylor, calm down. He is still little.”

Abigail gasped furiously, “Have I warned you not to eat desserts and cakes outside?”
Marcus stamped his feet in exasperation and glared at her. “I want to eat it! Why can I only cat the dessert you make?”
“Because you’re allergie to milk! The cakes I make for you never have milk in them!”
Marcus wiped away his tears stubbornly.
“You are no longer my mother. Leave me alone!”
Abigail actually didn’t like cooking, let alone making something as complicated as cakes.
However, Marcus, who was allergic to milk, liked desserts, so she learned cooking to prepare him with dessert that he was not allergic to.
Abigail calmed down a little and found Marcus‘ roar at her ridiculous.
“Marcus, remember, this is the last time I take care of you. From now on, you can do whatever you want.”
As neither the mother nor the son was willing to give in, Justin tried to persuade them to reconcile.

“He is still little and rash. He just said it in anger. Don’t take it seriously, Ms. Taylor.”
Justin patted Abigail on the shoulder.
Anthony, who came over, saw the scene.
He got out of the car and strode over. At the sight of him, Marcus burst into tears again and threw himself into his arms, feeling aggrieved.
“Dad! I don’t want Mom. She is a bad woman!”
Anthony picked up Marcus and stared coldly at Abigail and
Justin.
“Abigail, you impressed me. You date another man soon. You’d better behave yourself in front of Marcus. You are shameless, but I am not.”
Sensing that something was wrong, Justin explained, “Sir, you misunderstood. I…”
Unwilling to listen to his explanation, with Marcus in his arms, Anthony pivoted around, got into the car, and left.
Abigail gritted her teeth and took a long time to compose herself.
“Ms. Taylor, your husband seems to have misunderstood. Do you need me to explain it to him?”

Tears welled up in Abigail’s eyes.

“No. He’s not my husband soon. We’re getting divorced. Thank you, Mr. Moore. Can I have your phone number?”
Justin saved his phone number in Abigail’s phone.
“Call me if you need any help.”
Abigail nodded. “Thank you for your help today. I will definitely treat you to a meal another day.”
Justin exchanged a few pleasantries with her, but she was a little absent–minded and didn’t listen.
Seeing that she was in low spirits, he was quite worried about her.
“Ms. Taylor, I will drive you back.”
Abigail shook her head. “I want to be alone for a while. Thank you, Mr. Moore.”
As she was in a bad mood, Justin didn’t say much. He had to continue his patrol, so he soothed her with a few words and drove away.
Abigail’s mind went blank. She gazed at the overturned cake on the ground and thought about Marcus‘ expression just now.
Suddenly, she felt empty inside.

After picking up Marcus, Anthony took him straight home.

Marcus pouted and remained silent all the way. When they got home, before Anthony could ask anything, Michelle rushed in anxiously.
“Marcus! Marcus, are you okay?”
