Kicked Out of the Wealthy Family, Four Brot….
Chapter 6 The Invitation
As Jennifer thought back to her tragic end in her previous life, she shuddered. There was no way she’d let that happen again.

But with her powerful elder brother collaborating with the Clark family, his influence would only grow stronger.
She had to dismantle his advantage now.
She faced Timothy and stated firmly, “No matter what I say, you’re not going to buy it. But you’re only partnering with the Hargreaves family because of my engagement to you. So, doesn’t that give me a say in ending it?”
Timothy raised an eyebrow, his expression cool. “That reason sounds pretty childish.”
His tone made it clear he thought she was just acting out over family drama.
Jennifer knew he’d be hard to sway, but she wasn’t in a rush.
Calmly, she replied, “I’ll prove it to you soon enough. I’ll stay here for a few days, and when the time is right, I’ll personally cancel the engagement and explain things to Madam Clark. You won’t be inconvenienced.”
Timothy slowly wheeled himself closer, his imposing presence filling the space even though he remained seated.
Chapter 6 The Invitation
Without a word, he handed her an invitation card. “Don’t be
late.”
One look at the card and Jennifer instantly recognized it.
The upcoming event was a renowned music charity gala, and Jesse Martin, a famous music producer, would be there.

In her previous life, Daniel had been discovered by Jesse at that same event, which catapulted him into stardom.
But why was Timothy giving this to her?
His assistant leaned over and explained, “Ms. Hargreaves, the Clark family is one of the event’s sponsors. Mr. Clark isn’t fond of public events, so as his fiancée, it would be best for you to attend on his behalf.”
Jennifer caught his drift.
If she was going to stay here, she’d need to earn her keep.
She nodded. “Got it.”
Despite her calm demeanor, a thrill stirred inside her. In her last life, she’d dreamed of attending that gala, hoping to make connections in the music industry.
But Daniel had taken Sarah as his plus–one, leaving her out in the cold.

Chapter 6 The Invitation
Clutching the invitation, Jennifer let her mind wander to the past, so much so that she lost track of her injured ankle.
Suddenly, she stumbled forward, right into Timothy’s lap, landing with perfect awkwardness between his legs.

Rumor had it that Timothy hadn’t just lost the use of his legs in
the accident but had also been left incapacitated.
Yet, from her rather close vantage point, that didn’t seem entirely true.
“Getting a good look?”
Jennifer’s cheeks flared. “Sorry! That was… unintentional.”
Awkwardly, she scrambled back onto her good foot, wobbling slightly.
Timothy’s eyes swept over her swollen ankle and the bruises on her arms.
After a moment, he looked away and spoke to his assistant. “Get her a doctor. She shouldn’t be limping around making us look. bad.”
Eric nodded, quickly arranging for a doctor.
Before long, Jennifer found herself in a wheelchair with her ankle in a cast.
She hadn’t realized her injury was that serious.

Chapter 6 The Invitation
Sitting in the luxurious yet understated car provided by the Clark family, Jennifer headed straight for the charity gala.
Her phone chimed, and it was a message from Daniel: [Get the new song ready ASAP. I can’t delay my album release for you.]
Glancing at the message, she couldn’t help but smirk.
In her past life, she had poured her heart into a song that catapulted him to fame, only for him to give the credit to Sarah.
When she later tried to claim her rightful authorship, no one believed her, dismissing her as a jealous copycat.
With a calm expression, she shut off her phone, opting not to reply.
Today, she intended to make connections with the music industry’s elites and would not let anyone stand in her way.
“Oh, Jennifer! I didn’t expect to see you here!”
Jennifer looked up to see Sarah dressed in a pristine white gown that practically glowed with innocence.
She replied coolly, “Just here to enjoy the evening.”
Just then, Daniel hurried over, his brow creased in disapproval when he saw her in a wheelchair. “Jennifer, this isn’t home. You n’t just show up wherever you please.

“Tonight’s event is by invitation only, and I’m taking Sarah ast my guest. You should head back.”

Sarah stepped forward with an angelic look, softly insisting, “It’s alright, Daniel. Jennifer came all this way even with her injury. Maybe I should sit this one out?”
“No, we can’t have Jennifer causing a scene tonight. Sarah, you’re with me.”
Without another glance, he offered his arm to Sarah and led her onto the red carpet, leaving Jennifer behind.
Sarah cast a fleeting apologetic look over her shoulder but made no further protest.
Jennifer, unfazed, maneuvered her wheelchair forward, overtaking them with calm resolve.
Annoyed, Daniel quickened his pace to catch up. “Jennifer, you’re taking this too far. They’re checking invitations at the door, and I won’t cover for you. If you get kicked out, that’s on you.”
They reached the registration desk, and Daniel, ignoring her, handed his invitation to the attendant. “We’re together.”
He turned to Jennifer with a smug look. “See, you don’t have an invitation, so just leave. Stop making a fool of yourself.”
With a steady gaze, Jennifer raised her chin. “Who said I don’t?”
