Hiding My Twin Pups From their Alpha Dad Ch 6

Chapter 6

Felicia’s heart was racing, but she lifted her chin, refusing to show weakness.

His piercing gaze swept over her, as the door clicked shut.

The doctor had excused himself, leaving Felicia alone with Alpha Magnus.

Magnus’ expression was filled with concern. “How are you? What happened?”

Felicia forced a small, strained smile. “I’m fine now.”

“I was at the house,” he began, his voice calm but probing. “The guards told me Damien rushed you here. Then I heard whispers that you were planning to leave. Care to explain what’s going on?”

Felicia’s smile faded. She looked down at her hands, trying to gather her thoughts. Telling Magnus the truth felt like handing over her last shred of power. He had been good to her. He was responsible for the marriage between her and Damien.

Finally, she raised her head, meeting his gaze.

“Damien and I… we’re divorced,” she said softly, though her words carried a weight that hung in the air.

Magnus’s brows knit together, but he didn’t react the way she’d expected. Instead of anger, there was a flicker of disappointment, perhaps even sadness.

“Divorced?” he repeated.

Felicia nodded. “He… has someone else. And she’s pregnant.”

Silence fell between them, broken only by the faint hum of machines in the room. Magnus sighed deeply, rubbing a hand across his face.

“I’m sorry, Felicia,” he said, his tone genuine. “I truly am. You deserved better.”

Her throat tightened. “It doesn’t matter anymore. I just need to leave. Staying here… it’ll destroy me.”

Magnus studied her for a moment, then straightened. “And where do you plan to go? Leaving the pack isn’t something you can do lightly. Do you realize what it means to be packless? To become a rogue?”

Felicia looked away, her voice trembling. “Anything is better than staying here.”

Magnus exhaled slowly, shaking his head. “You’re stubborn, I’ll give you that. But I can’t let you leave without some form of protection.”

“I don’t need your protection,” she shot back, though her voice lacked conviction.

Ignoring her protest, Magnus reached into his coat pocket and pulled out an envelope. He extended it toward her, his expression unreadable. “Take this.”

Felicia hesitated, eyeing the envelope warily. “What is it?”

“A letter,” Magnus explained. “And an address. Go to this pack and give the letter to their Alpha. It’s all you’ll need.”

She frowned.

Magnus’s lips curved into a faint, bittersweet smile. “If you’re determined to leave, at least go somewhere you’ll be safe.”

Her eyes filled with tears, but she blinked them away, clutching the envelope tightly. “Who is the Alpha?” she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Magnus’s smile deepened, though it didn’t quite reach his eyes. “You’ll find out soon enough. Bless you, my child. You may no longer be my son’s wife, but you will always have my respect.”

Before she could respond, Magnus turned and walked out, leaving her alone in the room.

The moment the door closed, Felicia’s composure crumbled. She sank into the nearest chair, clutching the envelope to her chest as tears streamed down her face.
