After I finished dinner with Jane, I went back to
my old house.
The house that it feels ridiculous to call a home
now.
Alex looked surprised to see me. He hid his toys
behind him.
<
If I remembered correctly.
He mentioned that Meng Ran had bought him a
toy.
So, they have probably met before.
This boy that I have given everything to. And
he’s stabbing me.
I didn’t talk to him. I just sat on the sofa,
holding my divorce agreement.
I was counting the seconds for Mark to come
home.
But he didn’t come at the agreed time. I called
him again.
But he didn’t pick up for a long time.
He was breathing heavily and said, “Sarah, my
car broke down. I went to the country side. I’m
<
tonight. We’ll talk tomorrow.”
He ended the call fast.
I still heard the girl’s voice on the phone.
I have been there before. So I knew what they
were doing.
It was so disgusting.
I went to the bathroom and threw up.
How ironic.
The person that I loved the most now makes me
feel sick.
So I decided not to stay.
Since he was not home, I gave the agreement
to the nanny and asked her to give it to Mark
later.
<
As for Alex.
Before I left, I crouched down in front of him
and looked at his hidden toy.
Then I asked, “Who bought that for you?”
Alex blinked. He was still innocent–looking. But
he lied without a problem.
“My dad got it for me.”
Good… I didn’t want this kid either.
