Since Jess couldn’t find a nanny, she decided
to handle everything herself.
She quit her job and became a full–time
housewife.
But she was inexperienced. She took care of
the baby for a few days, and he wouldn’t stop
crying. He also had a rash.

to help.

She was rushed to the hospital. After some tests, the results came back. Like me, she
had leukemia.
The doctor said that it was likely caused by

But she still needed treatment.
They had just bought a house a few years
before and had a baby. They had barely any

They ran out of money. They begged their
family for money, but it was no use. Jess
