Chapter 100 Justin Fit Her Type
Abigail’s expression turned serious, as if she were actually thinking about the question. “I haven’t really gotten to know everyone yet, but at the party today, I realized we have some pretty good–looking people at the company. There are a lot of tall, handsome young lawyers around here,” she said.
Felix’s face immediately darkened, and the smile that had been on his face just moments ago faded away.
Abigail, not noticing the shift in his mood, went on. “But I feel like I might be hard to match with. I just got divorced, and I have a child. Maybe I should look for someone who’s been. married before, too. I don’t think someone who’s never been. married would want me.”
Felix’s expression grew even more unpleasant. “Abigail, what are you even thinking? If you think having a child makes you less worthy, then you’ve really got it all wrong,” he said sharply.
Abigail pressed her lips, then responded, “You’re right. Mr. Rowe, don’t worry. I’ll remember what you said. I’ll make sure to get to know more of the guys in the office and try to get that bonus as soon as I can.” She even gave him a dazed little salute, still a bit out of it.
Felix’s frustration was evident as he stared at her, clearly irritated by her obliviousness. He gritted his teeth, stood up without saying another word, and stormed out, slamming the

door behind him.

At the door, he turned around and muttered under his breath, “Fine, Abigail. I’ll see who you end up getting to know.”
Abigail, still confused by what just happened, thought Felix’s moods were just as unpredictable as always. She got up, washed up, and went to bed.
Meanwhile, at 1 p.m. in the wine cellar, Amy was just getting started with her drinking. Justin, always disciplined about his routine, was already struggling to stay awake, his head drooping from exhaustion.
Amy, however, was full of energy, bouncing from one idea to another. One moment, she was suggesting a new way to set Abigail and Felix up, and the next, she was saying they should let things develop at their own pace.
Justin yawned and nearly chuckled at the sight of Amy working so hard to play matchmaker for them. A few moments later, Amy leaned back against the wine rack, and with a slight sway, it tipped over.
Before she even realized what was happening, she lost her balance and started to fall. In a split second, Justin was wide awake. He rushed forward, catching Amy in his arms with one hand, while using the other to steady the wine rack that was about to topple over.
The sound of bottles crashing filled the room, some hitting Justin on the head while the rest shattered on the floor. Amy,

startled and half–drunk, instinctively covered her cars, still in his arms.

After a moment, the sound of shattered bottles faded away. Amy hesitantly lowered her hands, only to feel a warm trickle dripping down. Looking down, she realized blood was dripping from her hand.
Panicking, she looked up and saw that the falling bottle had cut Justin’s head. He was still holding her with one arm while the other was propping up the wine rack. His forehead was tense, the veins in his skin bulging from the strain.
It hit Amy all at once. She quickly stepped back from him and helped support the rack. Justin loosened his grip but didn’t notice the blood yet. He glanced at her, concern in his eyes. “Are you okay?”
Amy shook her head, still in shock. Justin’s gaze shifted to the chaos on the floor. “With all this wine, it must’ve cost quite a bit, huh?”
Amy felt a wave of relief that it hadn’t been her under the rack. If it weren’t for Justin, she could’ve been hurt. Pulling him over to the door, she urged, “Forget about the wine. Let me check on you.”
Amy spotted the small but deep cut on his head, gently reaching out to touch it.
Justin winced, and the sharp intake of breath made her frown.

“You need to go to the hospital,” she said firmly.
ה
Justin rubbed his head and brushed it off. “It’s nothing. Just a small scratch. It’ll be fine. Don’t worry.”
Amy was both irritated and guilty. Irritated that he wasn’t taking it seriously, and guilty that she hadn’t been more careful. With a sigh, she shook the door, calling for help, but the music outside drowned out her voice.
Seeing her worry, Justin smiled lightly, “Really, it’s nothing. I’ll just clean it up now, and I’ll go to the hospital tomorrow. Don’t stress.” He pulled off his vest and pressed it to the wound to stop the bleeding.
Amy frowned at him. “Don’t say it’s nothing. What if it gets infected? You-” But then, as she turned back, her words caught in her throat.
Justin had taken off his vest, revealing his toned, muscular frame. Amy blinked, momentarily stunned. She hadn’t expected him to look so fit. His muscles were defined but not overdone- just the right amount of strength, not too bulky, but definitely solid. He was built but in a natural way.
Amy swallowed hard, trying not to stare too much. She thought, “Well, this is a surprise.”
Realizing she’d been staring, she quickly sat down beside him, trying to focus on something else. “Do you always get injured like this?” she asked, forcing a casual tone.

Justin raised an eyebrow. “What, you think I’m accident–prone or something?”
Amy rolled her eyes. “No, it’s just… you didn’t even seem to feel it. Are you numb to pain or something?”
Justin chuckled softly, shaking his head, “Of course I feel pain. I just didn’t notice it because I was more worried about you.”
Amy felt her heart flutter, her breath catching slightly. The silence in the room suddenly felt much heavier, and she could almost hear her own heartbeat thudding in her ears.
Not wanting the tension to build, she stood up and moved over to lean against the wall, trying to distract herself. But then she remembered how Justin’d protected her, and the thought made her feel excited in a way she couldn’t explain.
Amy’s eyes locked onto Justin, her gaze steady and without. hesitation. It was the first time she’d really looked at him this way, and something about it felt different.
She realized, with a start, just how handsome Justin was. At first glance, he had that lively, vibrant energy, the kind that draws people in. But when she paid closer attention, she saw that Justin was the kind of attractive.
His features were sharp and well–defined. Most notably, his short hair framed his forehead perfectly, giving him a clean, crisp look. His eyes had that mischievous twinkle, always hinting at a smile, but there was something more to them- something sharper, almost like he had a secret.
