Chapter 111 None of Your Business
Amy chuckled and said, “What I’m saying is, there are plenty of fish in the sea for you besides Anthony. And what you’re going through now is just a little bump in the road. Once you get through it, fate will hook you up with someone special.”
As Abigail listened, she couldn’t shake off the feeling that something was up. “Spill the beans, Amy. Don’t tell me you’re trying to play matchmaker for me.”
Amy grinned sheepishly. “Is it that obvious?”
Abigail leaned back and closed her eyes, trying to relax. “I’m telling you, don’t waste your time. I’ve got my eyes on the prize- passing my qualification exam. Let’s chat about dating when I’ve got my career on track.”
She had come to realize that if a woman wants a happy
marriage, she needs to stand on her own two feet and never lose sight of herself in any relationship.
Relieved that she hadn’t let slip Felix’s crush on Abigail, Amy stuck out her tongue.
The car pulled up in front of the apartment building. Before hopping out, Abigail transferred the money for yesterday’s gathering to Amy and added, “Mr. Moore seems like a catch. Go get him!”
Amy’s face lit up with excitement. “Don’t you worry! I’ll land him!”

Felix finally sighed and said, “Never mind. Just pretend I didn’t say anything.”
Abigail felt puzzled and headed into the bedroom.
Felix looked at her tightly closed bedroom door, helplessly tossed his phone onto the sofa, then sighed deeply and chugged the water on the table.
What he needed now was to chill out. Besides, she only said she didn’t want to be in a relationship right now, not that she didn’t want to be with Felix or never wanted to be in a relationship in the future. In short, he believed he still had a shot.
A more pressing matter was that he had recently found his controlling tendencies getting harder and harder to rein in. But given the current situation, if he let these emotions spiral out of control, Abigail might get scared off.
That night, Abigail slept like a baby, while Felix tossed and turned all night.
Compared to the tension on this side, Amy had a much more laid–back and enjoyable night.
Amy grabbed some snacks near the police station and then went to find Justin.
Justin had two colleagues on duty with him.
As soon as Amy walked in, she handed out snacks to her colleagues and left a heap on Justin’s desk.
To her surprise, Justin stood up nervously upon her arrival.

“You’ve got me wrong. I’m not his girlfriend yet, but I’m working on making it happen soon,” Amy clarified.
Upon hearing this, the two policemen exchanged knowing glances, their faces lighting up with a mix of surprise and curiosity.
“Justin, you’re so lucky!” one of them exclaimed.
“Don’t keep her waiting too long, buddy. It’s tough for us cops. to find love, so you have to strike while the iron’s hot!” the other added.
They both turned their attention back to Amy.
“Justin may be a bit slow on the uptake, but he’s a stand–up guy. You’ve got good taste,” one policeman said with a nod.
“Yeah, I can see a real connection between you two. You’re a perfect match,” the other agreed.
Amy couldn’t suppress her genuine laughter, feeling genuinely happy.
Justin, on the other hand, was caught completely off guard by the situation. His face turned as red as a tomato with embarrassment.
Amy saw his shy demeanor and couldn’t help but giggle. “What’s the matter, Justin? Are you embarrassed? Come on, Mr. Moore,
