Chapter 23 Tomato Pasta
“You are just a housewife who has been kept at home for many years. Are you not ashamed to buy a professional suit?”
“I have the right to buy anything with my money. It’s none of your business.”
Jason stood at the door and interrupted, “Baby, she bought a professional outfit to pretend to be an office lady.”
Hannah sneered, “Exactly! I don’t believe that someone like her, who hasn’t worked for so long, can really find a job.”
Abigail ignored them, but at that moment, her cell phone rang.
She answered the call and heard the voice of a human resources staff member.
“By the way, Ms. Taylor, when you come for the interview tomorrow, please remember to bring your diploma or relevant academic certificates.”
“Okay.”
After hanging up, Abigail walked to the front desk to pay.
Hannah was very close to Abigail. She vaguely heard the words “interview tomorrow” and approached Jason in disbelief.

“Has she really found a job?”

Jason sneered, “That’s impossible. How could Anthony allow her to work? I’ll ask him about it tonight.”
Abigail paid the money, put away the old clothes, and turned. away without even casting a glance at Hannah and Jason.
At the same time, Michelle worked in Anthony’s company, so her working hours were very flexible.
When Marcus fell ill, she stayed at home to take care of him, which allowed Anthony to remember her kindness and let her rest at home, killing two birds with one stone.
Marcus took a nap after taking his medicine at noon and did not wake up until around three in the afternoon.
Michelle sat on the sofa next to him, scrolling through her cell phone. Noticing that he was awake, she hastened nervously to his side.
“Marcus, how are you? Are you feeling better?”
Marcus nodded. “Yes. I don’t feel itchy anymore.”
Although the itchiness had gone away, the red rash on his body had not.
Even his lips were a little swollen.
“I’m glad you’re okay. Do you want to sleep a little longer?”

Marcus got up from bed. “Michelle, I want to eat tomato pasta.”
When he was sick in the past, Abigail would always make him at plate of tomato pasta, which was nutritious and not greasy, and he would feel comfortable all over.
As a result, he always felt that the tomato pasta was necessary when he was sick. Otherwise, the illness would take a long time to heal.
Michelle seemed a little embarrassed.
“I have never cooked it before. I will ask Lucy to make it for you, okay?”
Marcus nodded. “I want to eat tomato pasta.”
As he was determined, Michelle rushed downstairs to ask Lucy to cook.
About half an hour later, Lucy came over with a plate of tomato pasta.
Marcus took a bite, pouted, and pushed the plate away.
“I don’t want this. I want tomato pasta!”
“This is tomato pasta.” Michelle patiently took a bite and found it pretty good.
“No. It doesn’t taste like what I had before.”

Tears welled up in Marcus‘ eyes. “I want tomato pasta right now!”

Not knowing what was going on, Michelle could only take the pasta downstairs to question Lucy.
“This is not what Marcus wants to cat. What’s wrong? Can’t you even cook a plate of pasta?”
Lucy usually disliked Michelle, and her attitude became cold.
“Oh, do you think everyone can make tomato pasta? The tomato pasta that Mr. Marcus Robinson wants to eat is made by his mother. Of course, no one else can make it taste that good.”
“You!” Michelle instantly understood what was going on.
She thought, “Marcus suffers from a minor illness and starts to miss his mother.
Indeed, he is not my own child. How ungrateful! Despite my efforts, he still wants his mother.”
She put the pasta on the stove.
“You’ve been taking care of Abigail for so long. Haven’t you seen how she cooks it?”
Lucy sneered, “No. How could I stand by and learn her cooking skills when Mrs. Robinson was making pasta for her son? Stealing makes me feel uneasy.”

Hearing that she was mocking her, Michelle glared at her.
When she was about to lose her temper, Marcus came
downstairs.
She quickly calmed down and feigned gentleness.

“Marcus, why did you come downstairs? Be good. Go back and lie down.”
Noticing that Michelle was quite insincere, Lucy couldn’t help but roll her eyes and mutter to herself, “What a bitch!”
Marcus heard it and asked in confusion, “Lucy, what did you say?”
Michelle rose and stood behind him, glaring at Lucy.
Lucy was a smart person. She understood the principle that it was better to offend a villain than a gentleman.
She immediately squatted down and stared at Marcus with a smile.
“Mr. Marcus Robinson, the tomato pasta you want to eat is made by your mother herself. No one else can make it taste that good. You have to call her and ask her to come back and cook it for you, okay?”
Marcus was still angry with Abigail. Upon hearing Lucy’s suggestion, he immediately became embarrassed.
Chapter 23 Tomato Pasta
“No. You call her and tell her I’m sick and want to cat pasta.”
Lucy took out her cell phone helplessly.
Marcus was indeed as stubborn as Anthony.

Lucy was worried that Anthony and Abigail would divorce in the end if their relationship was still tense.
Not long after Lucy dialed the number, Abigail answered the call.
“Lucy, what’s the matter?”
“Mrs. Robinson, you’ve been gone for a few days. When will you come back? I’m so worried.”
“I won’t go back. Anthony and I are getting a divorce. Didn’t he tell you?”
Michelle listened to their conversation from the side and sneered smugly to herself.
Lucy continued, “Mrs. Robinson, Mr. Marcus Robinson is sick and wants the tomato pasta you make. How about…”
Before she could finish her words, Abigail interrupted her, “I will never cook tomato pasta for him again. Ask him to eat something else.”
Abigail hung up.

Marcus heard her refusal and immediately ran back to his room with a sullen face.
Lucy put down her phone, feeling a little heavy–hearted.
She always had an instinct that Abigail was serious this time.
Michelle glared at her mockingly. “You’d better side with the right person. Abigail is no longer the mistress of this family.”
Lucy understood her implication and snorted coldly, “Even if she is not the mistress of this family, it may not be you, either. It’s still too early for you to act like the mistress.”
“You!”
Without giving her a chance to speak, Lucy just walked past her and went outside to water the flowers in the garden.
Michelle stamped her feet in annoyance. “You are just a servant. How dare you provoke me! When I really become the mistress, you will be the first one I drive away!”
She took a deep breath for a long while to calm herself down.
She immediately pulled out her cell phone and ordered a fried chicken takeout.
Michelle was confident that fried chicken could attract Marcus more than tomato pasta.
Chapter 23 Tomato Pasta
She wanted to erase his memory of Abigail, bit by bit.
