Chapter 28 When You Are Away
Amy nodded vigorously. “Of course, Felix. Otherwise, how could I find trouble myself?”
Felix held Amy’s hand. “Very good, Mr. Williams. From now on, we will not accept any apology or monetary compensation. Our only solution is to see you in court.”
After saying that, Felix pulled Amy out.
Jason was stunned, and by the time he reacted, they had left. “What? Why? Didn’t we just agree on this?”
Ryan and Morgan were also confused.
They looked at Anthony, whose face was very gloomy.
He ignored the three of them and left with a cold face.
He thought, “Great! Why did Felix stand up for Abigail? I would like to see what he can do!”
When Amy came back to reality, she had been dragged out by Felix and got into the car. “Felix, didn’t you say you were afraid my dad would find out if you took the case to court? They’ve apologized, so why are you still suing them?”
Felix drove the car while saying, “Leave this matter to me. Don’t worry. Your father won’t find out.”

Amy vaguely felt that something was wrong, but she couldn’t tell what. Her mind was a mess, and she didn’t have time to think about it. “Don’t tell Abigail about this. I’m afraid she’ll feel burdened if she finds out.”
Felix didn’t say anything and secretly exerted force on the steering wheel.
Abigail went to bed early that night, preparing to go to the interview in high spirits the next day.
The next morning, she got up and made breakfast and was just about to call Felix to ask him if he wanted to eat together.
Before she made the call, there was a knock on the door.
As soon as she opened the door, Felix came in in a sports suit. Seeing the sweat on his hair, she knew that he must have just finished a morning run.
He said, “I smell the breakfast, so I came to have some. Do you
mind?”
Abigail went to set the table. “I was just thinking about calling
you.”
This morning, Abigail made soup and pancakes.
Felix picked up a piece of pancake and began to eat. “Are you trying to bribe me before the interview?”

Abigail served him a bowl of soup and said, “I am confident in this interview. Even if I don’t bribe you, I can pass the
interview.”
“So sure?”
“Of course. I meet all the qualities you request.”
Felix smiled and said nothing.

These two days, he saw that Abigail seemed to be in much better spirits, and her complexion was much better.
Today, she put on some light makeup and put her hair up in a bun, giving a bright and refreshing feeling.
After breakfast, Felix went back to his room to change clothes. When he came out, Abigail also came out wearing the new suit he bought yesterday.
He was stunned. When Abigail saw the elevator arriving, she stopped it with her hand. “Aren’t you coming in?”
Felix came back to reality, coughed twice to ease the embarrassment, and then got into the elevator with her. “Since we have the same destination, do you want a ride?”
Abigail shook her head. “I’m going to take a cab. Taking your car to your company for the interview will expose that we know each other.”
Felix smiled. He guessed she would say that.

When they reached the first floor, Abigail got off the elevator while Felix went to the underground parking lot.

Before they parted, he did not forget to encourage her. “I wish you success. I won’t pull some strings for you.”
Abigail smiled and replied, “Don’t worry. I’ll treat you to dinner later.”
After she finished speaking, she wanted to laugh. She promised. to treat Felix to dinner again. Every time she treated him to dinner, it ended up a scene.
Meanwhile, when Marcus got up in the morning, the red rash on his body had subsided a lot.
But he still had no appetite. The breakfast made by Lucy was far worse than that made by Abigail.
He, who was a bit picky from having Abigail’s dishes, didn’t eat breakfast.
Anthony didn’t come back last night. Michelle sent him a text message to tell him about Marcus‘ situation and then took Marcus to school.
On the way, she saw that Marcus had no appetite, so stopped in front of a fast–food shop, got out of the car,

bought some donuts and milk.
As soon as Marcus smelled them, he couldn’t help but pout.

Michelle scratched his little nose. “How do you know they are not delicious before even trying them?”
“But my mother didn’t let me cat these before.”
Michelle curled her lip and ate a donut with relish. “What a pity.
There are so many delicious foods, but Abigail doesn’t let you eat them.”
Seeing Michelle eating with relish, Marcus couldn’t help swallowing his saliva.
After a while, he stretched out his little hand, took a donut, and put it in his mouth.
As soon as he ate it, his eyes widened. “This is delicious!”
Michelle rubbed his head. “Well, I did not lie to you, huh?”
Marcus‘ mouth was greasy from eating donuts. “Michelle, please don’t tell Mom and Dad that I eat these things. They don’t let me eat them.”
Michelle nodded and smiled, “Don’t worry. I will buy you a lot of delicious food without letting them know, okay?”
Marcus laughed when he heard it. “You are so nice to me!”
Michelle looked at Marcus, whose mouth was greasy, with a
smile.

She thought, “It’s so easy to bribe a child. Just buy him some junk food that he usually doesn’t cat will work.”

The two of them finished their breakfast in the car, and Michelle. wiped Marcus‘ mouth.
Just as she was about to drive to the kindergarten, she looked up and saw Abigail getting out of a car by the road.
Michelle thought she had seen things until Marcus called out, “Why is Mom here?”
Only then did she confirm that the woman in front of her, dressed like a professional elite, was actually Abigail.
When she came back to reality, Marcus had already gotten out of the car and walked towards Abigail.
Seeing this, Michelle quickly got out of the car and followed closely.
“Hey! Why are you here?” Marcus was still angry and spoke to Abigail rudely.
