Chapter 46 You Teased Me
Abigail jolted upright, taking a moment to collect herself.
Her last clear memory was Felix calling her a “top–tier workhorse.”

After that, it was as if a veil had descended over her mind, leaving her with no recollection of how she had gotten upstairs, or even how she had entered the apartment.
When she pulled back the covers, she saw that she was still wearing the same clothes from the night before–stinky with the lingering scent of alcohol.
She quickly got up, swapped into some comfortable workout clothes, and splashed her face with cold water. That was when she began to feel more like herself again.
It was strange–despite leaving the bar well after midnight and drinking quite a bit, she felt remarkably clear–headed and refreshed today.
For a brief moment, she even started to believe that Felix might have had a point about the city’s nightlife being more than just talk.
Today, Felix didn’t come to drag her out for their usual morning jog, and Abigail guessed he must have slept in after a long night of drinking.

She decided to make some soup and, at exactly 8 AM, knocked on his door.
It took a while for Felix to answer, and when the door finally creaked open, Abigail froze in place.
Felix–wasn’t wearing a shirt.
He was wrapped in a towel around his waist, with a hand towel draped over his head, his damp hair dripping water down his sculpted abs.
The droplets ran down the ridges of his muscles, and Abigail couldn’t help but gulp audibly.
She’d never felt so acutely aware of her surroundings.
“Had enough?” Felix’s cool voice cut through her thoughts.
Abigail snapped out of her trance, her face immediately flushing a deep shade of red.
“Oh, um… sorry!” She stammered, averting her eyes.
Felix raised an eyebrow, his lips curling into a slight grin. “What’s going on?” He could hardly suppress his amusement.
Flustered, Abigail cleared her throat. “Uh, I made soup. Do you… want some?”
“Sure, let me get dressed,” Felix said, turning to walk back into

his apartment.

Abigail, still flustered, rushed back into her room without even looking back.
She quickly washed her face again to cool down, trying to shake the heat from her cheeks.
A few minutes later, Felix entered in casual clothes.
He wasted no time sitting down at the table and started sipping the soup, clearly not shy about his appetite.
Abigail had learned to make this soup for Anthony back in the day, as a remedy for his hangovers.
Anthony used to drink a lot for work, and the soup always helped ease his discomfort.
But after a while, he had grown tired of the taste and refused to touch it.
Felix, however, didn’t hesitate. He finished the first bowl quickly and poured himself another.
Abigail waited for a moment, gathering her courage before finally speaking up. “About last night…”
Felix casually picked up a small dish of food, popping a bite into his mouth. “What about last night?”
“I… I had a bit too much to drink. I didn’t… do anything

embarrassing, right?” She had a vague feeling about the night. but couldn’t quite trust her memory.
After all, she had completely lost track of time and was afraid she might have made a fool of herself.
Felix set his spoon down and locked his gaze on her, a slow smile forming on his lips. “Do you think you did something?”
Abigail felt her heart skip a beat under his intense gaze.
“I… I don’t think I did anything,” she muttered, not quite convincing herself.
Felix stretched out his legs, leaning back with a relaxed smile. “They say that alcohol frees the soul, Abigail. So, if you did something while you were drunk, that means you wanted to do it in the first place.”
Abigail felt even more uncertain now.
She hesitated, her eyes darting to his face, her nerves starting to fray.
“So… what exactly did I do?” she asked, her voice betraying a hint of panic.
Felix took another sip of soup, finishing it in one go. Then, in the most casual tone, he dropped the bombshell. “You hit on me.”
Abigail was mid–sip when she heard that, and before she could stop herself, she spat out the soup, coughing in shock.

“Wait, what?” she gasped, her face going completely red. Was this something you could actually say out loud? And with that
tone?
Abigail’s embarrassment hit her like a tidal wave, and she hurriedly grabbed a napkin to wipe her mouth, wishing she could just vanish.
Felix, however, didn’t seem to share her discomfort.
Instead, he leaned back in his chair, clearly enjoying her reaction. “What’s the matter? Did the idea of flirting with me embarrass you?”
Abigail snapped her head up, immediately shaking her hands in denial. “No, no, that’s not what I meant!”
Felix raised an eyebrow, his grin widening. “Then what did mean?”
you
“I…” Abigail felt trapped, her face burning even hotter. She was sure there was no way out of this conversation.
Felix relished her distress, but then he finally let out a chuckle. “Abigail, do you really have so little faith in yourself? You were drinking, not taking confidence pills.”
With that, he stood up, patted his hands together, and began walking toward the door.
Only then did Abigail realize she’d been played, and her face

Fuming with frustration but unable to express it, she clenched
her fists, cursing herself for not catching on sooner.
Felix wasn’t as innocent as he seemed he was a master of mischief underneath that sunny exterior.
By 8:30 AM, Abigail was reluctantly in Felix’s car, headed for work.
He was whistling cheerfully, enjoying the morning. Meanwhile, Abigail sat sulking beside him, fuming yet utterly powerless to do anything about it.
As the alarm clock blared at 8:30 AM, Anthony slowly opened his eyes, his stomach cramping in sharp, painful waves that made sweat bead on his forehead.
He jerked upright in bed, sitting there for a moment, stunned, his hand clutching at his stomach as his brow furrowed in discomfort.
Just as he started to collect himself, Michelle’s voice suddenly cut through the haze.
“Anthony, aren’t you going to sleep a little longer?”
Anthony turned sharply at the sound of her voice, his eyes widening in disbelief. There, beside him, lay Michelle,
completely exposed except for the corner of the blanket barely covering her.
His gaze darted around the room–clothes scattered
haphazardly on the floor–and then down at himself. He realized he was naked.
As an adult, the conclusion was immediate.
Still trying to grasp what had happened, Anthony was abruptly pulled back into the moment when Michelle sat up and wrapped her arms around him from behind.
Her soft body pressed against his back, sending a wave of tension through him as he stiffened, his mind reeling.
“Anthony, do you have any idea how long I’ve been thinking about last night?” she whispered in his ear.
The words, heavy with implication, sent a jolt through him. He quickly pulled away from her, scrambling to put some distance between them. Standing up, he grabbed a robe from the bathroom and slipped it on, his mind racing.
Looking at his reflection in the mirror, the smell of alcohol still clinging to him, he splashed cold water on his face, trying to clear the fog in his head.
It took a while, but gradually, the memories of last night began to surface–he had been drunk, and then… he had slept with Michelle.
The events of the day before came rushing back as well–the argument with Abigail in the courtroom over his relationship

And now, it was no longer just an argument; it was real. What had been a matter of words had turned into an undeniable reality.
Anthony stood there, feeling an overwhelming mix of emotions -guilt, confusion, regret–but mostly, a sense of being utterly lost. How could he face Michelle now?
Just then, Michelle entered the bathroom, wearing one of his white shirts.
The shirt was large enough to cover everything, but the curve of her body underneath made it even more provocative.
She moved behind him, wrapping her arms around his waist, her gaze meeting his in the mirror.
“Anthony, what’s wrong? Do you regret last night?” Her voice was soft, but there was a hint of vulnerability in it that made hist heart tighten.
He didn’t respond, his mind swirling with too many conflicting thoughts.
Michelle let go of him, her once bright expression dimming in an instant. Her face fell, replaced by a look of hurt. “It’s okay,” she said softly. “You don’t have to regret last night. If you don’t want to be responsible for it, I won’t make you.”
