Chapter 52 We Haven’t Divorced Yet
“Abigail!” Anthony’s voice rose, echoing through the room.
Michelle, ever the drama queen, burst into tears again.
“Anthony, there are so many people watching. Just let it go. I’ll say I tripped or something; it has nothing to do with Abigail.”
But the more she insisted, the more furious Anthony became.
Onlookers began to murmur, some recognizing the players in this unfolding drama.
“Isn’t that Anthony Robinson?”
“Looks like the husband brought his lover to celebrate, while the wife runs into them with hers. What a mess!”
As the gossip escalated, the atmosphere grew thick with tension.
In circles like theirs, everyone knew the unspoken rules.
Affairs were common, and relationships were often transactional rather than emotional.
Yet this public spectacle was a first for them all.

Everyone was watching with a sense of morbid curiosity, and before long, a crowd had gathered, drawn in by the drama. unfolding before them.
Ryan stepped forward, tugging at Anthony’s arm. “Come on, man, let’s just talk about this later.”
Morgan joined in, trying to diffuse the situation.
“Anthony, this isn’t our venue. Don’t make enemies here; it could come back to bite us.”
In the business world, connections mattered, and burning bridges was never a good idea.
But with the tension rising and seeing Abigail and Felix in matching outfits, Anthony couldn’t contain his anger.
Emotion took over, completely swallowing any semblance of
reason.

“Abigail, you need to apologize to Michelle. Now.”
Abigail couldn’t help but chuckle at his tone.
She said, “First off, you don’t get to order me around. Second, I haven’t done anything wrong, so there’s no way I’m apologizing.”
Anthony’s expression darkened further.
“Don’t push me, Abigail. You really don’t want to see me angry.”

Abigail stood her ground, her gaze unwavering, showing no signs of backing down.

Then, in a shocking turn, Anthony raised his hand as if to strike
her.
The crowd gasped, holding their breath, waiting for the inevitable clash.
But before Anthony could make contact, Felix stepped in, catching Anthony’s hand mid–swing.
They locked eyes, Felix’s gaze icy, though a smirk danced on his lips.
Felix held Anthony’s wrist firmly, refusing to let go.
Anthony said, “Back off. This is between me and Abigail.”
“Mr. Robinson, I’m not trying to meddle. As Ms. Taylor’s attorney, I’m merely reminding you that assault is a crime. If you hit her, everyone here will be a witness, and Ms. Taylor can take you to court.”
Anthony’s face twisted with rage, but he stubbornly held his ground.
He thought, “Damn it, this lawyer had a grip like a vice.” It felt like Felix was going to crush his wrist.
“This is my family business. You’re just an outsider; don’t

Felix’s smile widened, a glint of amusement in his eyes.

“Thanks for the reminder. Since you and Ms. Taylor are still legally married, if you hit her, it’s not just assault; it’s domestic violence, which makes it even worse.”
“You!” Anthony was seething, his teeth clenched as he glared at Felix, as if he wanted to tear him apart.
Just as it seemed a physical fight was imminent, Abigail stepped forward, tugging at Felix’s sleeve.
Felix finally released Anthony’s wrist, and Anthony stumbled slightly, catching himself with Michelle’s help. “Anthony, I’m really fine. Let’s just go home,” she said, her voice dripping with
concern.
Anthony glared at Abigail, his eyes burning with fury.
“Abigail, we’re not divorced yet, and here you are, gallivanting around with your little boyfriend. You have the nerve to hit Michelle? Don’t you think that’s a bit low?”
Felix, ready to step in again, was halted by Abigail’s firm grip.
“Let me handle this. Some things I need to face myself.”
Felix hesitated but took a step back, standing protectively
behind her.
Chapter 52 We Haven’t Divorced Yet Abigail’s gaze shifted between Anthony and Michelle, her expression cool and collected.
“You two can’t turn this around on me. Mr. Rowe and I are innocent. What about you? Are you two squeaky clean?”
The memory of last night’s events hung heavy in the air, and even in his rage, Anthony felt a flicker of guilt.
His eyes darted away for a moment, betraying his unease.

Abigail continued, “You’re so quick to believe Michelle’s claim that I hit her, and you rush up here looking for revenge. Anthony, do you really think you’re fit to be a general manager with that kind of thinking?”
“What are you implying?” Anthony shot back, his voice sharp.
“There are cameras in the bathroom corridor. Why don’t you check the footage? It’ll tell you everything you need to know.”
At that, a flicker of panic crossed Michelle’s face, but it was quickly masked by her practiced charm.
“No need to make a fuss, everyone. I’ve already said it was just an accident; I bumped into something. There’s no reason for anyone to argue about this.”
She tugged at Anthony’s arm, her tone shifting to one of faux sweetness.
“Anthony, I don’t want to put you in a tough spot in front of all
Chapter 52 We Haven’t Divorced Yet these people. Let’s just go.”

Watching Michelle play the innocent little lamb while hiding her
true colors made Abigail want to laugh out loud.
Just then, the host of the soirée, Vincent Green, made his entrance.
“Looks like my party has drawn quite the crowd!” he announced, striding over with a confident air.
Vincent was a big player in their circle, overseeing numerous industries and well–connected with many businesses.
The Robinson Group had plenty of dealings with Vincent’s company, and continuing this drama would surely ruin their reputation with him.
Vincent approached Anthony, giving him a friendly pat on the shoulder.
“Mr. Robinson, I didn’t expect to see you here with friends. I guess I’ll have to raise a glass to you tonight!”
Anthony’s face darkened, but he forced a smile.
“Mr. Green, you’re too kind.”
Vincent, ever perceptive, turned his attention to Abigail.
“Mr. Robinson, I’ve heard rumors about you keeping a lovely lady on the side. Your wife is not only beautiful but also quite

the catch. It’s clear you two make a perfect pair. How about you both join me on the dance floor when the ball starts?”
His words were a blatant jab at Anthony and Michelle, and the air grew thick with awkwardness.
Michelle’s face drained of color, and the tension in the room escalated.
Vincent’s comment was a public reminder of Anthony’s recent outburst and his near altercation with Abigail.
Asking them to dance was essentially a way of telling Michelle she was out of the picture.
Anthony stood there, his expression darkening further, yet he struggled to maintain a smile.
Felix, sensing the mounting tension, gently took Abigail’s hand and linked it with his arm.
