Chapter 81 Gossips
Abigail smiled, “You are greedy for my cooking skills and want someone to cook for you.”
Felix took another sip of the soup, looking very satisfied. “Your cooking skills are indeed a little better than your professional
level.”
Abigail felt that she was being ridiculed, but she thought what Felix said made some sense. She took out her mobile phone and checked the calendar. “I plan to have the qualification exam this
year.”
Felix set down his empty bowl and spoke gently, “Don’t rush yourself. Getting back to studying after such a long break isn’t easy. Take all the time you need. If this year doesn’t work out, there’s always next year.”
“Actually, I’m pretty confident,” Abigail replied with
determination. “I’ve been reviewing law books lately. Sure, I’d forgotten quite a bit, but it’s coming back to me quickly now that I’m studying again.”
Felix nodded approvingly. “Now that your divorce is final, you can focus on what you’ve always wanted to do. Don’t let anything hold you back – just concentrate on your studies.”
Abigail smiled and looked at Felix with a hint of pleading in her
eyes.

Felix could tell that she had other intentions. He asked, “Do you want to ask for something?”
Abigail chuckled, “I can resume work today. I’ve only been on the job for a few days, but I asked for leave. You didn’t assign me any business, so…”
As she spoke, her voice became lower and lower. Felix raised an eyebrow and looked at her. “You want to take charge of the case with me, right?”
Abigail nodded. “Practice makes perfect. Taking on more cases will help me pass the qualification exam.”
Felix stood up and walked out.
Seeing him approach the door, Abigail followed him and asked, “Is it okay?”
Felix didn’t stop. He waved his hand and said, “Be patient. I paid you so much money, so I won’t just ask you to make breakfast for me.” With that, he went back to his room opposite.
Abigail knew that this meant Felix had agreed and smiled happily.
After finishing breakfast and cleaning up, Abigail watered the flowers. Then, she changed her clothes, went downstairs, and took Felix’s car to the company.
Charles had been hospitalized two days ago, and Taylor Group

Abigail entered the company and followed Felix into his office. Little did she know that during this period, gossip about her and Felix had been spreading throughout the company.
Seeing Abigail and Felix enter the office together, some people in the office area gathered together and whispered, “Look, that woman entered Felix’s office again. She is just an assistant, but she can share an office with Felix.”
“Pretty suspicious, if you ask me,” another chimed in. “Who is she anyway?”
“No way. Felix is famous for being restrained. I remember a client wanted to introduce him to a girl, but he said he had someone he liked.”
“Could it be that the person he likes is Abigail, the newly hired
assistant?”
Just then, Maria Nash, an employee from the HR Department, passed by. Someone stopped her and asked, “Maria, do you know Abigail’s background?” The people around looked at Maria with expectant eyes.
They asked curiously, “Which prestigious university did Abigail graduate from?”
“Is she related to Felix?”

Maria shook her head. “Don’t make blind guesses. Mr. Rowe specifically recruited Abigail. She is not someone we can provoke.”

Felix had not said that he wanted Abigail, but among all the recruitment requirements he had set, only Abigail met them. Moreover, when Abigail’s resume had been received, Felix had gone to the HR Department to ask about it.
Anyone could tell what Felix meant. What was more, everyone in the HR Department was sensitive, so Abigail finally got into the company.
Upon hearing what Maria said, everyone became even more curious about Abigail.
Abigail had no experience in working life, so she had no idea how outrageous these gossipy people could be in the workplace.
She entered the office and thoughtfully made coffee for Felix, and she also made a cup for herself. Then, she sat in her seat and waited for Felix to assign her tasks.
Seeing that he didn’t intend to assign her tasks, Abigail picked up the book to study and prepare for the exam.
About half an hour later, Felix stood up and said, “I’m going to the conference room to meet with the client. Stay here and wait. When I come back, I will tell you the situation of the case. You will work with me in this case.”

Felix went to the conference room. Those people in the office. who were still talking dispersed when they saw Felix coming out.
As soon as Felix left, they gathered again and continued whispering, “Mr. Rowe doesn’t like people coming into his office, especially when he’s not there.”
“Last time, when he was not in the office, I went in to deliver some documents. After that, he knew it and scolded me.”
“But Abigail is still in the office.”
The more those people talked, the more they were curious. They continued, “I think Abigail is good–looking. When she is standing next to Mr. Rowe, they look quite a good match.”
“Really? I think so! Mr. Rowe is rich and handsome, and Abigail is beautiful and gentle. They are a perfect match.”
While they were chattering, Abigail came out of the office. She wanted to go to the printing office to print out some papers, but when she came out, she saw many people glancing at her secretly.
Abigail felt a little uneasy. She had never worked before and didn’t know how to get along with her colleagues. But she knew what she could do.
She had just joined the company. If she wanted to build good
to get familiar with them.
Thinking of this, Abigail printed the papers and returned to the office, then ordered coffee on her mobile phone.
After a while, many cups of coffee were delivered to the reception office, and the staff there brought them in.
A person asked, “Who ordered the coffee?”
Seeing so many cups of coffee, everyone stood up and guessed. “Perhaps it is Mr. Rowe?”
“Could it be that he has taken on a big case and is treating us to
coffee?‘
Abigail looked at her mobile phone and saw the notification that the takeaway had arrived. She came out of the office. Seeing everyone gathered around the table at the door, she walked
over.
Everyone then turned to look at her.
Abigail smiled somewhat awkwardly, trying to make her look approachable. She said, “I have been in the company for some days, but I have never talked to you. I’m Abigail Taylor, and I’m glad to work with you. I have ordered coffee for you all. Hope we can get along well with each other in the future.”
