Chapter 87 Apology or Punishment
Abigail was taken aback by his sudden seriousness, staring at him with her eyes wide open.
The words died on Felix’s lips.
After a long while, he loosened his grip in dismay.
“Forget it. You won’t understand even if I tell you.”
Abigail saw that and held up three fingers.
“Don’t worry, Mr. Rowe. I promise you I won’t let myself get hurt again, and it won’t affect my work.”
Felix was not afraid at all that she would affect her work.
Now that she said that, he had to keep the words to himself.
Just at this moment, the doctor came out with the report.
“Nothing serious. Go back and apply ice. Here’s the report.”
Felix took the report and turned to leave.
Abigail had no choice but to follow him out.
Meanwhile, Anthony, who was still in a daze in the hospital, received a call from the police.

He pulled off the infusion tube and got changed, rushing to the police station.
After he arrived and learned the basic situation, Abigail and
Felix came back with the report.
When the three of them met, Anthony looked a little embarrassed.
Abigail simply ignored him and gave the report directly to the police.
“It’s considered intentional. A minor injury was caused. Considering the bad impact and the defamation in public, she might get a detention if the victim refuses to reconcile,” the police said.
Anthony frowned when he heard this. “How long will she be detained for?”
“Five to ten days. It depends on the specific situation.”
Upon hearing that Diana would be detained for such a long time, Anthony turned paler.
Abigail saw that the Band–Aid on his hand for the IV was soaked with blood.
He looked pale. She knew he went to the hospital due to stomach problems.

Seeing that Anthony didn’t want his mother to be detained, the police officer continued, “I suggest you go through civil mediation. Mr. Robinson, you should have a good talk with Ms. Taylor and apologize to her. If she forgives you, your mother might not be detained.”
Abigail and Felix sat together at the table.
It annoyed Anthony to see them together.
Diana always lived a luxurious life. If she was detained, she might not get used to it.
After all, she was old, and that matter was not a big deal.
Thinking of this, Anthony finally mustered up the courage and went up to Ail.
“Shall we talk?”
Abigail knew that he wanted Felix to go away, but she wasn’t going to cooperate with him.
“Just talk here. If you want to resolve this privately, I advise you not to waste your time. I will not accept mediation on this, let alone monetary compensation.”
Anthony didn’t expect Abigail to be so determined.
He frowned impatiently, “Abigail, why are you so fussy? She gave you only a slap. She is old. Although we are divorced, she is your elder.”

Abigail looked at him without any intention of giving in.
“It’s useless to mention her age. Only a slap? Your mother slandered me in public, beat me, and ruined my reputation. I’m pursuing my own rights. How can you say I’m fussy?”
She used to tolerate them in the past, so they bullied her without hesitation.
Without giving Anthony a chance to speak, Abigail continued, “Besides, since we are divorced, she can’t bully me even if she is older than me.”
“You!” Anthony was baffled for a moment.
He knew Diana was in the wrong as he had watched the surveillance Vuco before Abigail came.
Diana had really gone too far.
Anthony had just divorced Abigail, who was annoyed and irritable. What Diana had done must have enraged Abigail.
Felix kept silent, turning the pen on the table as if nothing had happened.
He nodded occasionally, showing that he was quite satisfied with Abigail’s reaction.
After a short silence, Anthony softened his tone.

“My mother is old and muddle–headed. Don’t argue with her. Besides, Marcus was raised by her. He will be upset if he can’t see her for so many days.”
Abigail found him ridiculous. She didn’t even care about him and his mother, let alone her ungrateful son.
“Being old is not an excuse for making mistakes. Besides, you saw on the surveillance video that your mother wanted to beat me after she slapped me. If someone hadn’t stopped her, she might have beaten me up.”
Anthony gritted his teeth and said, “She was agitated at that time. I…”
Abigail lost her patience and interrupted him, “Anthony, I thought y
ared a little about me even though we were divorced. After all, our marriage lasted several years. You have no reason to hurt me. It’s pointless to say this to me. This is not what I want.”
Anthony was baffled. It took him a long while to calm down, and he continued, “Tell me what you want. I’m willing to give you money or anything else as long as my mother won’t be detained.”
Abigail shook her head. “I want none of them. If you don’t want her to be detained, I can satisfy you.”
A glimmer of hope flashed across Anthony’s eyes.
But his hope was shattered by the words uttered by Abigail the

“Ask your mother to apologize to me and write a letter of apology and commitment to me, promising that she will never disturb me again. I want to record the video in which she reads out the letter of apology and commitment.”
Anthony could no longer hold back his anger.
“Are you crazy, Abigail? You want such an old lady to apologize to you?”
Abigail stood up and looked at him. “Mistakes don’t disappear with age. She made a mistake, and she should apologize. If she doesn’t want to do that, she will take the punishment.”
“Abigail!” Anthony raised his voice and clenched his fists in
anger.
Seeing this, Felix watched Anthony’s every move nervously, fearing that he would hurt Abigail.
Abigail looked at Anthony fearlessly.
“I’ve made a concession and given you a choice. I suggest you discuss this with your mother and decide if she will apologize or take the punishment.”
Diana was proud, especially when she was with Abigail.
She used to look down on Abigail. It would be killing her if she had to bow her head and apologize.

Anthony was well aware of this, but he knew Abigail was serious
this time.
If Diana didn’t apologize, she had to get the detention.
Abigail didn’t look at Anthony, who gritted his teeth and panted heavily with anger.
